RCS1: Group 6 Prototype-Sports Cars (Racing Challenge Series) ((FINAL REVIEWS NOW OUT!))

so because i picked a lug patern of 6 insted of 5 because i cannot see the difference on my game res your telling me your gonna bin the car?
as for the design being “plain”, I still really dont see how that makes it any less realistic. A design can be boring and still completely normal.
The only thing thats a little different about that car is the engine, but in your own words, there are “no rules” in this department, and its hardly a strech for a racecar with such a small displacement to focus on injection insted of carbs.

Nowhere does the breif say “your car must not look boring”. It does have indicators on both ends, wipers aren’t necessary because, well, it has a windbreaker not a windscreen. As far as i can tell, those were the only design requirements. I even put in the effort putting in seams and a reduce sized seat under the windcover so it meets the 2 seat rule.

You’ve seen the stats, this isn’t gonna win, not even close, so why does dismissing ot matter?

The Pontiac 8 lug wheels would actually make sense on a pre disc brake era sports/race car, since they were there to save weight since the wheel is more or less a rim without a centre bolted directly to the drum. It is more questionable maybe with “regular” 6 lug wheels on a late 60s race car, nothing I would bin for though. However…

To me this feels like cherry picking the most silly reason for the bin, to make the host look like a douchebag. However, when reading up on the review, you can see that Aruna found multiple things that lead to his decision. I am not going to take any stance on if it deserved a bin or not (it is up to the host in the end) but I somehow get the feeling that you would have gotten a pass if it had been the only thing he found wrong with it.

6 Likes

To be fair, he did address the other reasons in the rest of his post.

Thank you.
Yes i did adress every complaint with it in full (and excruciating) detail, in my first post, and in the last one.
I cant help but feel that this car is being dismissed based on the design, and nothings actually wrong with it.

Design and styling is clearly stated to be a 5 star priority, so that seems like a perfectly valid dismissal.

6 Likes

And realism was a 4 star priority.

As the host, they do have the ability to bin cars even for technicalities or pedantic reasons; especially if they declared these in advance, which Aruna did. If anything, Aruna was actually very nice in writing out a lot of feedback anyway, when they could very well have just said “binned” and moved on.

Yeah, it sucks to be binned, but the bin was fair. Not much to do but learn and move on.

7 Likes

Not to pick on anyone in particular, but this car has so much wrong with it i cant even start a list, and yet its perfectly “realistic” (seeming as it didn’t get binned)

Hardly seems like "realism" is really a priority here.

That car was binned because the user didn’t DM the file, it never even got the chance to get checked by the host

11 Likes

To be fair, it was from a new user who had yet to be granted DM privileges; even if he could, it would not have stood up to aesthetic scrutiny anyway.

Reviews Part 2: Choices, choices…

Now that the bins are sorted, I will go in & out of character as well as deliver a bit more detail in reviews (as well as take into account any lore featured in the ad posts potentially), there will be five main persons investigating the cars to choose for their next race machine, each will focus on certain areas of the car.

Introducing Godfrey-Edwards Racing Ltd.:

Racing Drivers: Carlo Fabbri :it: & Kristián Beran :czech_republic: (The drivers for the races.)

Lead Engineer & Lead Mechanic: Xavier Edwards :australia: & Rod Blackwood :us: (Maintenance, repairs and creating optimal performance + reliability is their focus.)

Team Principal/Manager: Cyrus Godfrey :us: / :norway: (Responsible for overall management & decision making, mostly does the business & marketing end.)

@Marv666 - Vorstentelg - MPB-034b Race

Carlo: Ah, I have heard stories about this “Flying Carrot”, it’s a road-worthy race car! Quite a nippy one too but not fast in a straight line, though I did hear rumours that it suffers poorly from mechanical failures. It is also a handful to drive, and quite intimidating to unskilled drivers…

Kristián: Yes I agree, it isn’t the most reliable thing going, nor the quickest too. I feel like I could handle the car but maybe Carlo would spin it, heh. Hopefully if this gets chosen our mechanics can tune out the defects of the highly stressed engine…

Xavier: After going over the car in detail, my main takeaways… The engine is highly tuned and makes just over 500bhp from a 4 litre engine, impressive! Though it sacrifices reliability for brute force power, sure sounds a treat all the way to 10,000rpm!

Rod: This won’t do at all, this has to be the most faulty engine on sale… Not only that but it guzzles fuel like nobody’s business. It does not really suffer much elsewhere, has a well tuned chassis and drivetrain. Not bad in terms of safety either.

Cyrus: Aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, the MPB-034b is well designed, has great aero features and all the standard equipment for road-going too, which makes things easier on our end. It’s a cheap price, and even cheaper to service, I’ll have to consider what the team have told me though, it’s a no-go.

Out of character summary

Lowest Engine Reliability, Second Lowest Top Speed, Very low Drivability, Lowest Parts Reliability all around, and worst Fuel Economy: Therefore will not be moving on to the finals. (Is good for sportiness, price point & SVC however)

Aesthetically I like it a lot! It has small details like a fuel tank on the front, oil cooler tucked behind front grille, fog lamps for all weathers endurance on the front too. It is well designed and well detailed on the inside and out, very realistic for the time period too! I can’t really pick the design apart too much other than: The interior could do with hidden chassis perhaps so that the footwell can be detailed with pedals.

Maybe the engine bay on display in the rear window could have additional details too in future. Otherwise the exterior design is on point! Personally not a fan of the colour combination, but you wrote lore to back that up which is fair enough. Definitely give yourself a pat on the back there!

In short for next time: I would definitely retune the engine to a more endurance-spec reliability focus, as well as fuel economy, and re-tune for the performance accordingly, price point wise though this is on the soft limit, so if it was better built, the team would be pleased to run 3 cars and hire another driver!

The Vorstentelg - MPB-034b Race will not be moving onto the finals :x:

@Maverick74 - CESMA 38-8 LM

Carlo: Mmm… The CESMA 38-8 LM sure is a pretty machine, it shifts like a jet too! All the way over 200mph! It may seem intimidating but they have made it a reasonably easy to handle racing car, I can get behind this!

Kristián: It is a fast one, handles well. Not half bad reputation for reliability I’ve heard too. I do wonder if the engineers will praise it as well as Carlo and I.

Xavier: A well built racing machine definitely, well suited to endurance too with the highest fuel economy of the entire grid. Reliable and fast, it could be our choice already?

Rod: I got to give credit to the engineers at CESMA, they build a kick-ass machine! Finely tuned and grippy, lightweight takes away from the safety somewhat but performance makes up for this easily! Cannot beat the sound of a V8 no matter the size of it either…

Cyrus: The CESMA 38-8 LM… An aggressive rake and bulking tyres with sharp styling, it looks like it’s ready to tear up any race course and stand out from the competition. Not too hard on the company wallet either, though more advanced to maintain. Their confidence and extensive testing has proven valuable, and from the teams point of view… This one we will have to arrange a test with.

Out of character summary

From an engineering POV, this car is really strong across the board, great sportiness, reliability, top speed, 1km time, drivability all strong, and the best fuel economy of all entries to boot!

I absolutely adore the design, it proves that even simple-looking yet well-thought out designs can be great! I can see some striking resemblance to the GT40 MK1 & Chapparal 2D in a good way, but it is truly unique from them both, as inspiration & realism goes it is top marks there. The exhaust mounting on the rear is really sweet and only 3 fixtures which again, well-thought out and adds the detail on, this follows suit to the headlight mountings, rear window struts, and rear air-intake (cabin cooling possibly?).

Much like Marv666’s entry, I cannot really argue with the design. It is really nicely built and detailed just enough so to make it stand out. If I were to make any changes, I would possibly improve the interior detailing too as it is somewhat simplistic (not to say race car interiors are not simple! It just needs a bit more to it, or less pre-fabs to make it more unique). Maybe a few more filler elements behind the grille areas could help add a finishing touch too!

The CESMA 38-8 LM will be moving onto the finals :ballot_box_with_check:

@bang6111 - Revuelto “Eris” T67

Carlo: Hmm, the Revuelto “Eris” T67… Supposedly unpredictable handling, but from what I hear it’s actually not half bad. It does have a lower top speed than ideal too… Which seems to impact the lap times by fair margin on average.

Kristián: Not to mention it is slow on acceleration to 60mph and beyond. It is rather easy to drive which makes up for it… Somewhat.

Xavier: Not too bad engineering wise, could be better but it has around low-to-average reliability. It’s built rigid and quite safe, nice to see. Quite low fuel economy wise, somewhere below average.

Rod: It’s build half decent, but I don’t think it will really stack up to the competition, it’s just too slow.

Cyrus: Sleek, sporty looking and wide low profile makes this thing look fast, sadly it doesn’t really fit that bill though. It is quite stylish, got to give it that. Price is below budget and service costs are the lowest on record, but from what the team tell me it’s too good to be true for performance it gives, it’ll be a miss then.

Out of character summary

Slowest 1km time and Top Speed, Lower end of G-Forces, Lower-average end of Parts Reliability, the slowest Lap Time, and second worst Fuel Economy.

Overall engineering is reasonable, though it is severely let down in comparison to the other cars. The price point is ideal and the team would have run 3 if it was successful, but sadly it just wasn’t there.

Design wise it’s a solid entry! It certainly looks the part for a race car of the time. There are is two suggestions I would make though: I’m unsure of the small ridge above the headlights? I think patchwork may have been better than a moulding to place here as it would be smooth to surface of the car.

Quick fix applied:

Secondly, I would touch on the interior having invisible-see through on the inside, that seems to be tied to the CS Paint - Simple. Vanilla automation paints have a black on the inside, it’s only a small nit-pick considering it has an interior design, otherwise could be fixed by using the “Pillars, Roof and Walls” within Interior 3D fixtures section.

Beyond minor nit-picks, it’s a good design but sadly not one of the best this time around. In future I would re-focus on the priorities for engineering as that’s the main downside, if it was more competitive at the price point it may have had more chance!

The Revuelto “Eris” T67 will not be moving onto the finals :x:

@Kanye_West & @Xepy - Di Inferi 416 LH Aerodinamica

Carlo: Ah magnificent! A grand Di Inferi 416 LH Aerodinamica! Masterfully crafted and performing car, it doesn’t even take a professional to handle this machine either, though I may be somewhat partial to Di Inferis considering my love for Italian performance!

Kristián: While Carlo is easily excitable, I do agree with his points, the Di Inferis are generally speaking top performers and handle sweetly too. It’s a spectacular UFO of a racing car, heh.

Xavier: Di Inferi, a legendary marque. The craftmanship is extraordinarily good, it’s not the most reliable motor, but is endurance-proven!

Rod: It is not bad at all when it comes to safety or fuel economy either. This brand delivers strong car after strong car when it comes to the racing scene.

Cyrus: Di Inferi… Truly a legendary brand, the styling and engineering prove this from what the team say. It is quite the pretty penny to buy and service, though the most prestigious machine available, would attract fans and customers worldwide… I trust the team’s instinct, we will request a test day with this one!

Out of character summary

The level of detail and design is off the charts with this entry, even down to the presentation on the thread, an entire detailed sale brochure and the presentation of the engine with unique piped exhaust, it’s the stand out design!

The engineering is extremely solid too, just on the lower end in certain areas, and almost max price too. I can’t really critique this car visually head-to-toe other than it could maybe have more elements to the interior, it’s very lightweight, and fits the car well but there is no fuel gauge or fire extinguisher, extra bits like that might have fit well!

The Di Inferi 416 LH Aerodinamica will be moving onto the finals :ballot_box_with_check:

@Sureascanbe - Cobalt SP-66b Langheck

Carlo: Aha! Cobalt’s latest machine: The SP-66b Langheck! They have been running this car since 1966, so it is already race-proven. It’s exceptionally fast in acceleration and the best cornering machine on track!

Kristián: The SP-66b Langheck is a good race car, nobody can flaw it’s flat out superior agility & accelerative performance, it lacks the top end but not by much. However, I have heard about defects with the handling.

Xavier: Generally speaking the Cobalt is really well built, it’s set numerous fastest laps in testing for the '67 season, I do have concerns about the engine’s reliability as well as the drivers thoughts on how easy it is or isn’t to handle.

Rod: The highly strung motor suffers similar reliability defects as the Vorstentelg. Sadly I don’t think we can trust in it to make it to the end of endurances, but for sprints it’s easily the best on the market!

Cyrus: This is a first-rate machine indeed! Exceptionally lightweight, aerodynamically superior, and exceptional performance on track, this is a car we could do with having. It’s even below our intended budget, so a 3 car lineup with additional drivers hired would work… Though from what the team have told me, it is not up to scratch for the longer races, especially with tendencies to suddenly snap oversteer or be unpredictable in handling.

Out of character summary

Really good attempt! Was close to being a finalist, but the lowest Drivability by massive margin has not helped sadly. Lowest Safety and Prestige too, though these did not impact it as much it was still a fair few points off others. (Overall had potential for finalist, especially considering purchase price being under soft limit means the team would run 3 cars, sadly the low Engine Reliability & Drivability are the biggest let downs.)

I can’t fault the engineering other than the highly stressed engine, maybe pad type being 100 didn’t help for drivability stats (-7.8% on pad type alone, then -1.8% on brake balance), but makes sense for a racing car to have racing pads. The car was on the edge of being into snap-oversteer which made the drivability very low too.

Visually stunning! This again is one of the most realistic and well-designed cars of all entries, it looks the part and is accented by sweet details on the exterior, interior and even engine bay! I do feel like the front circle intakes on the lower side could be piped up to the brakes than just ending at the front for the extra mile though:

The gauges and dials here don’t have anything on the back end, but I supposed they could run through the roll bars, very minor nit-pick at this point, because honestly this is one of the best interiors for realistic & design POV.

It is probably a minor oversight but the ITB moulding/mount is clipping one of the trumpets:

Overall superb job! If it were to be re-submitted with engine + parts reliability & drivability more in competition with the other entries, it would have probably won the competition, so I can’t flaw that effort! I almost did let it into the finals, but the lowest drivability and second lowest engine reliability let it down sadly.

The Cobalt SP-66b Langheck will not be moving onto the finals :x:

@Danicoptero - Tarske HG832 SP

Carlo: Hmm! The Tarske HG832 SP, a fast top end and accelerating machine! Though these things are a handful to drive, big V8 in the back and next to no weight on them…

Kristián: This thing was built with Le Mans in mind, a higher top speed at the cost of worse cornering forces. It is reasonable with reliability in the past from what I hear, but is it enough?

Xavier: This car is build up very well, but seems to not have as high a quality as other machines. It is safer than most, and fair fuel economy though which is good.

Rod: A lightweight pocket rocket! Cramming the large V8 into the back of the small fibreglass racing machine is quite the design. It’s about average in terms of build quality though.

Cyrus: Simplistic yet a striking design, accented well by the factory yellow stripe. It looks fierce and powerful towards the rear end with wider and curvier stance and the quad exhausts too. The car is reasonable with the price point too… But I feel like judging by the team’s reaction, we could look elsewhere.

Out of character summary

Second worst G-Forces, lower than average Drivability, generally low Parts Reliability, High SVC: Therefore will not be moving on to the finals. (However, is nicely priced, good lap time, Top Speed & 1km Time)

The engineering is fair, it’s not exactly a stand out build. The stats aren’t the best nor worse, it’s reasonably balanced, the top speed and acceleration are good, the budget is low but it sadly does not really stand at a point that would aid it for winning.

The design is good! It’s rather simple but well put-together in a way that reflects realism and a unique style. (Not to detract from the work on the rear end, that does look very impressive.) The interior is good, but slightly basic, the pedals also seem a bit strange:

For next time, I would probably use a bit more budget and quality to work around the more average statistics. It’s fast, but in terms of reliability, drivability and G-Force is areas to work on! Design wise, I would just focus on enhancing the quality by detailing and experimenting.

The Tarske HG832 SP will not be moving onto the finals :x:

@chiefzach2018 & @kookie - Zacspeed 875 Mk2 LTS

Carlo: Mmm, the Zacspeed 875 Mk2 LTS… This machine is fast! The track record for Zacspeeds has always been strong, and this one proves it. It’s also friendly to the driver too, even with it’s huge 7 litre midship layout!

Kristián: I concur with Carlo, it has good pedigree on track, the statistics don’t lie, it’s incredible performance paired with drivability is second to none really. A grand machine, truly.

Xavier: This is the most reliable car on the field for sure, the rudimentary pushrod V8 is essentially bulletproof! The parts are all easy to source and high quality too.

Rod: Can’t beat a meaty V8 after all… This one is the real deal. It is also the safest car on the field, could be better with fuel efficiency but I can’t complain with that rumbling noise!

Cyrus: The Zacspeed machines have dominated racing for quite some time, they come at a hearty cost… We could afford two, but might need to weigh up the performance and cost alongside other examples. I will put in for a test run with this for definite.

Out of character summary

Overall this build is exceedingly strong. Across the board it is very good, realistic and well built all over. It only really lacks an interior & engine visually, but I have been told in DM the build was started late into the month I gave for entries, unfortunate but understandable!

Kudos for the US flag flying the correct way on inverse, truly the most patriotic American car ever lol. The period correct looking “Goodstone” tyres also work a treat!

The Zacspeed 875 Mk2 LTS will be moving onto the finals :ballot_box_with_check:

@iivansmith & @Oreology - 1967 Tioro TRP67/6

Carlo: Magnificent! The Tioro TRP67/6 is a thing of beauty, extremely quick too! They aren’t too difficult to drive either, and are fast around many courses.

Kristián: Definitely so. In fact this is one of the fastest race cars to this day… It’s a looker that just keeps going for sure.

Xavier: It’s certainly not the safest car on the grid, but you can’t deny the performance and general reliability. It’s a rocket in a straight line too…

Rod: Can’t deny it’s a good performer, reliable too. Fuel efficient is better than most too, I’d say we should definitely consider this V8 rocket ship!

Cyrus: The TRP67/6 is rather timeless, it’s sleek and stylish and flows from front to back wonderfully… One of the more prestigious builds too, costly at that… Though from what I have seen parts and servicing them is rather cheap. All this considered and the team’s thoughts, we’ll just have to test one out.

Out of character summary

Really strong build! It’s the second fastest, first fastest in a straight line discounting bins. The visuals are really stand out, it’s got big albeit sleek looking headlight clusters, leading into huge scoops on the sides and a fanned up tail with dual wings on the end! It is truly a marvellous creation with lots of depth and style, being tied up with 4 other best visual designs. Well done!

The 1967 Tioro TRP67/6 will be moving onto the finals :ballot_box_with_check:

Thank you all for reading the very timely and long phase 2 of reviews! I have done my best to give valuable insight and detail into builds that sadly didn’t progress to the finals, but honestly all the phase 2 builds are really good cars!

It has taken me some good time to get this part out, and I appreciate all of your patience. Hopefully I will be able to get the final reviews done within two weeks at most. Until then! :sparkles:

Oof yeah engineering is not my strong suit lol. A bigger engine would’ve probably helped even if drivability would be worse or probably better aerodynamic tuning. No wonder I called it the Eris lmao.

Also, I didn’t know I could use patchworks for the headlights I just used moulding bc of the lights ripping through the body. I am probably also gonna check on why the interior paint invisible since on my end it wasn’t? but it can be because I am using modded paint and not vanila.

Yeah, I think it is to do with an update to the way paints are done, Silvia is looking into it, it’s definitely neither of yours faults because I only seen this since yesterday

Why did I miss out on this :sob::pensive: I had so many good ideas…

There is always next time! I will pass the baton onto the winner or subsequent winner of this contest if they choose to host, if not I may be able to host again as I have the idea of a Super Touring theme if nobody chooses to host RCS2! :+1:

Reviews Part 3: The Finals

Now we are onto the finals, the Godfrey-Edwards Racing Team will be reviewing the cars on track to assess in person which one is the perfect choice for their entry to the 1967 World Sportscar Championship.

@Maverick74 - CESMA 38-8 LM

Drivers verdict: The fastest car in 1km, good time around the circuit, good acceleration and top end speed too, not as good in cornering but fast nonetheless! A great blend of speed and drivability.

Engineers verdict: A reliable motor paired with reliable drivetrain and components, would see us through many endurances with little-to-no issues, the main strong point is the very good fuel economy figures!

Manager’s verdict: It’s a looker for sure! The price point is more attractive than the others we sent for testing, servicing is also in the middle ground. We should consider it, but weigh up our other options.

Out of character summary

An exceptionally strong entry, the lowest price point of the top 4, very drivable as well as sporty too, with the best fuel economy on the entire grid! Sadly it does not come close to the sheer performance and reliability of the winner, but is still a great build!

@Kanye_West & @Xepy - Di Inferi 416 LH Aerodinamica

Drivers verdict: It looks like it’ll be quick but somehow feels more tame in comparison to the other cars, top speed is up there! It can pull corners fast too, and lap time is exceptional! It has to be the easiest to drive overall which is superb for endurance racing.

Engineers verdict: The good looks won’t ever bring it down, however the engine reliability will, of the ones we test, this one failed a couple times… It’s build strong, but weak parts and engine bring it down.

Manager’s verdict: Absolutely stunning visuals that would get our brand pictured easily on course, a highly regarded prestigious brand! The price and service costs are high, sadly too high for the cost of reliability it seems… We should consider the other options.

Out of character summary

A truly phenomenal design top to bottom, paired with Gravity’s, Sureascanbe’s and Iivansmith/Oreology’s as the best designs in the competition, though sadly it is the least reliable overall in the final 4 competitors, it’s damn quick too: 3rd fastest lap time overall and 3rd fastest top speed too. Unfortunately it does not stack up against the winner in terms of shear reliability for the same cost there abouts. If looks could win though, it would be up there!

@iivansmith & @Oreology - 1967 Tioro TRP67/6

Drivers verdict: Sporty, fast, the fastest in a straight line in testing… Though also the most handful to handle around the track of these test beds. The lap time is also surprisingly the slowest of the lot by a few seconds. It feels fast, and is fast though which make a big impact on some tracks.

Engineers verdict: We can’t fault much of the engineering here, it’s solid built and little to no defects in our test, mostly the gearbox crunching… Falls short of the safety of the other cars though, but the fuel economy isn’t bad at all.

Manager’s verdict: A truly modern design that would stand out in a crowd of racing machines! It’s costly but surprisingly cheap to maintain. I do wonder if this could be the one, but we have a final choice to assess…

Out of character summary

A real strong effort, sadly only really let down by the overall performance of the car (slowest 1km time, slowest lap time of the top 4) as well as the drivability in comparison to the other top 4. Astonishingly lower SVC however, but sadly was not a high enough priority alongside the cost to really stack up to the winner. Akin to Kanye & Xepy’s entry, if looks could alone win, it would be a winner in that sense!

@chiefzach2018 & @kookie - Zacspeed 875 Mk2 LTS

Drivers verdict: It’s quick! Lightningly so, as it is the fastest lap time. Top end is marginally slower, acceleration on par with the rest. But my goodness does it pull around corners like nothing else.

Engineers verdict: This car is built stronger than that one brand over in Sweden… It’s going to last for years after we’ve done racing it for a few seasons, the engine alone is completely faultless, the parts have no defects to note either. It has the worst fuel economy on the grid, but more than enough makes up for it with pure speed and lap times.

Manager’s verdict: Not the most attractive and put-together car on the grid, it is only really a prototype in early development we’ve been told. It still is quite charming however! It has a really strong prestige being an infamous Zacspeed of course, but comes at a very high price to buy and maintain. Hmm…

Out of character summary

Most reliable by huge margin, as well as being the 2nd fastest car on the Airfield lap overall. Really strong 5 star priority stats, not necessarily the best top speed or design, but it is good quality nonetheless! It is also the safest car on the entire grid. It also uses up all the budget, but the stats speak for themselves, it’s well spent!

Final Results:

The CESMA 38-8 LM places 4th! :ribbon:
The Di Inferi 416 LH Aerodinamica places 3rd! :3rd_place_medal:
The 1967 Tioro TRP67/6 places 2nd! :2nd_place_medal:
The Zacspeed 875 Mk2 LTS places 1st! :1st_place_medal:

Godfrey-Edwards Racing will take two orders of the Zacspeed 875 Mk2 LTS for their racing venture in 1967!

Congratulations to the winners! :trophy:

Thank you all for entering too! I am glad to have had success in hosting this new format, and will pass the baton down the line to the winner should they take it on, or subsequent participants!

I do feel as though some of the priorities I may be somewhat bias to than others, for that reason I will share the spreadsheet results for full figures. In future, I may not use sportiness at all because it doesn’t seem to matter? It’s a really confusing stat in terms of the car’s real performance. Hopefully the final results are good to read, though I feel I may have rushed them somewhat, it’s been a busy week full of cold and other matters!

Results:
1st - @chiefzach2018 & @kookie
2nd - @iivansmith & @Oreology
3rd - @Kanye_West & @Xepy
4th - @Maverick74

Anyone beyond I sadly did not rank, to cut down on review time, I’ll leave it to be first-come-first-serve if the top four don’t choose to host RCS2!

If nobody wants to host the next, when I feel ready to I may host the next one instead, if it hasn’t already been chosen!

The main ideology behind Racing Challenge Series is to invoke the realism (not limited by creativity however), design/style, and engineering to create believable, well made visually and physically racing machines! Think of it as a CSR for racing machines. I haven’t laid out a firm blueprint for subsequent RCS - This is just the base thought behind RCS. You have complete freedom for the next contest’s theme: Could be GT3, LMDH, Formula 1, Dakar, WRC, DTM, BTCC, WTCC, JGTC, etc! It could even be a brand-themed contest where for example: Make the best your brand goes here GT3 car!

Simply lovely.

That was a bit of a tricky one given the timing, but it seems we eked out enough from the package and design to secure the W.

Thank you to @kookie for doing a fantastic job with the design and making it look truly advanced for the era. I know we did not give much lore in the post given it only had a few words, but the goal was to make its primordial ground effect seem believable with otherworldly styling, and it seems we delivered there. Thank you as well to everyone who entered as there were some incredible lookers that made the field elite company, and thank you to @Aruna for hosting this inaugural round.

As for the next round, I spoke with some other potential hosts, and we thinned the subjects for RCS2 down to two candidates which share something. We are deciding which to do and will provide news in the coming days. In the meantime, here is a picture with zero context.
