Rennen Automotive

Style, sophistication, and the pure joy of heavenly driving dynamics.

In September 2016, Rennen unveiled the 8th generation Rennen Angeles at the Frankfurt Auto Show . All-new from the ground up with groundbreaking design, all-new performance options, and a new swathe of new technology, the 8th generation Angeles will pave the way for the future of Rennen.

Sedan Elite 3.0 trim in Ruby Red Metallic and optional Luxury Technology Package shown.

Performance

Making it’s debut in the Angeles is the 5th generation of Rennen V6 engines. A twin-turbocharged 3.0 Liter V6, this new powerplant produces 316 HP and 314 lb-ft of torque whilst still returning up to 33 MPG on the highway with cylinder deactivation technology. Also available is a 2.0 Liter turbocharged Inline-4 which can attain 37 highway MPG. Both engines have a relatively high redline, at 7000 RPM, as a means to maximize performance which Rennen is known for. With an air-controlled electronic suspension and adjustable dampers which can be tailored in a vehicle dynamics menu, you are able to personalize the Angeles to drive the way you want it. Rear-biased (Typically 65R/35F, up to 100R/0F or 50R/50F) torque-vectoring AWD is standard on all Angeles’, providing enthusiastic driving characteristics whilst also helping in all-weather driving conditions and safe, relaxed driving. The Angeles is designed to function as the perfect driver’s car; it works in all conditions and drives with precision and poise in every one of them.

Exterior
Currently, the Angeles can come with 3 body styles; a 4-door sedan, 2-door coupe, and a 5-door estate. Every body style reveals the newest evolution of Rennen’s signature Angel wing headlights. Every line and crease in the body of the Angeles is specially tailored in order to create a smooth, balanced, and harmonious design. No line is out of place in the 8th generation of Angeles. Active grille shutters help the Angeles cut through the wind, aiding fuel economy and emissions. As if hewed from a solid block of metal, the Angeles has a muscular and sharp, abstract design that still remains inviting and practically begs one to drive it just by looking at it.

Interior
Inside, the Angeles reveals a luxuriously appointed and spacious interior filled with high-quality materials which makes the interior both palatial and pragmatic. With a standard 10.0" touch screen interface with a next genreation of Rennen’s REV® infotainment (REV2®), you can stay connected at all times. In addition, mapping is created through Google Earth™, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ are standard on all models, and a 19-speaker 755 watt Bowers & Wilkins® audio system is optional, providing great music from all around. Multiple materials and colors are available so that you can personalize your Angeles just the way you like it. The Angeles’ modern, urban, and sculpted cabin make it a place that one could call their second home.

As a premium product I reckon the latest Angeles will be an absolute corker. In fact, it’s likely that it was inspired heavily by the Kastana concept car. Also, is this really the first time you (or anyone, for that matter) have listed interior color and trim options in addition to exterior colors? If so, props to you! Given the chance, I would most likely order a 3.0T manual Elite Coupe in Ruby Red Metallic with Sahara Beige hides and aluminum trim riding on the 10-spoke 19-inch wheels, plus the enhanced audio system, radar cruise control and panoramic moonroof.

Phenomenal! You really do have a knack for making great looking cars don’t you? Really like the use of air suspension, I personally think it’s a bit of a shame that it’s such a rare site on modern cars when it’s so good at ensuring a comfortable ride.

Where does this car stack up in Rennen lineup exactly then? I’m guessing it sits below the Sagacious (mainly due to the price), and is larger than the Caelum?

@abg7 Yes, this is the first time I’ve listed interior colors along with exterior colors. However, the Kastana was actually released after this car, but both share similar design features.

@DeusExMackia It is a fighter for the BMW 3-Series, Audi A4, and others in the segment. It does sit between those two cars mentioned in terms of price and size.

Nice! Well it certainly seems to be very competitive against rival automation premium midsizes’, also really like that inclusion of interior choices too

The fastest, most drive-focused evolution of the Rennen Angeles ever.

For 2017, Rennen unveiled the 2018 Rennen Angeles in the sportiest R trim at the 2017 Antiyita International Motor Show. Revealed on the 10th of May in Antikatia, the Angeles R was released for Rennen’s 51st anniversary. Even more driver-focused than before, the new Angeles R is designed to provide maximum smiles per gallon.

Sedan R trim in Cavansite Cerluean Metallic.

Performance
The newest Angeles R is equipped with the legendary high-revving twin-turbocharged 3.3 Liter V6. With 472 HP and 358 lb-ft, the potent engine is able to propel the AWD Angeles R from 0 to 62 MPH in under 4 seconds. Adaptive and adjustable magnetorheological dampers come standard along with torque-vectoring AWD and dual electronic limited-slip differentials. With racing-inspired suspension which is also adjustable, the Angeles R flaunts it’s smooth, dynamic driving characteristics with communicative steering and telepathic handling. Torque-vectoring AWD pulls the car in tighter in a corner, edging it closer to the apex. Execution of this function is smooth and undetectable for a more natural yet faster and more stable driving experience. With all the small portions of the Angeles R forming an engaging ad cohesive whole, this super sports sedan is sure to impress on any back road.

Sedan R trim in Cavansite Cerluean Metallic.

Exterior
The Angeles R is available with the 3 staple body styles; a 4-door sedan, 2-door coupe, and a 5-door estate. A redesigned front bumper not only adds an angular and aggressive look to the new Angeles R, but it also provides extra cooling for the high-power engine. In addition, it sheds weight with a carbon-fiber front lip which provides negative lift onto the front of the Angeles R. Active grille shutters are present again. At the rear of the car, a functional rear diffuser is found along with an active rear spoiler and quad-tipped exhausts. With the exhausts have a valve which opens and closes, the Angeles is able to scream if you allow it to. Again, the design is fluid yet angular with the perfect amount of aggression. The Angeles R is a bold and energetic take on the normal Angeles; with functional aerodynamic additions, redesigned bumpers, and other additional touches, the new Rennen is able to inspire all those who lay their eyes on it.

Sedan R trim in Cavansite Cerluean Metallic.

Interior
Inside, the Angeles R is very much similar to the normal Angeles; luxuriously appointed, spacious, and full of technology. A 10.0" touch screen interface with a next genreation of Rennen’s REV® infotainment (REV2®) is standard, with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ connectivity also standard. Sports seats are standard although more focused bucket seats are optional. Multiple hides are available, with a limitless number of combinations available.
Rennen Active Control (RAC®) has been modified to provide more customization and more leniency for a raw but controlled driver experience. Much like the luxury-oriented models of the Angeles, the Angeles R has a comfortable and modern cabin tailed to the one driving it.

If I could only buy one variant of the Angeles, it would have to be a manual R wagon in Cavansite Cerulean with a Jet Black interior (plus blue accents) and carbon fiber trim.

God, that is one of the most tastefully designed sports saloon’s I’ve ever seen. And you even managed to add a boost spoiler without over doing it! What an achievement. Nice touch with the AWD too, I’m getting the impression the whole thing is quite tech-focused?

###Review: Rennen Angeles R
“You don’t want to like me, but you kind of have to, because I am better than the rest”

*speaking of this market, if any other companies with mid-size performance sedans - I’m looking at you, Zenshi and Bonham - want their cars reviewed, I’d be very interested.

Quite a classy car - I’d take a 4.2 Exclusive estate with both packages in Marine Denim Navy and a beige interior with light wood inserts.

But will there ever be two-door and/or higher-performance versions of it in the future? It looks like it clearly deserves either or both of those…

Jaw dropping rear end.

Yeah, he does that on a regular basis… his designs are usually very good, but what gets me is the brand identity. That car is easily identifiable as a Rennen.

The elucidation of luxury.

Rennen unveiled the Atrani at the 2016 Paris Motor Show for the 2018 model year. Packing all-new driving and safety technology, the Atrani marks the pinnacle of what Rennen is capable of.

Executive V12 trim in Hazed Amethyst Metallic shown.

Performance

Propelling the Atrani is 3 different powerplants. A competent 3.0L V6 with 316 HP and 314 lb-ft of torque, a powerful 4.2L V8 with 433 HP and 438 lb-ft, and an opulent V12. The V12, updated for the Atrani, produces 595 HP and 555 lb-ft. Despite its decadent interior, the V12 Atrani is capable of bolting from 0 to 62 MPH in under 4 seconds and a top speed of over 200 MPH if unlimited. All engines are mounted behind the front axle for optimal weight distribution and transfer power to all 4 wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The latest Rennen AWD system was developed and fitted to the Atrani, with 100% of power sent to the rear under most conditions but 60% being sent when demanded. Air-controlled suspension is standard on all models, with electric couplings in place of sway bars which can control the Atrani’s roll angle every 1/2000th of a second. With this, road manners can be changed through the car’s settings, allowing for a surprisingly capable backroad driver’s car and a comfortable, controlled cruiser. Despite the Atrani’s daunting dimensions, driving dynamics are focused and responsive and distinctively Rennen. Following the Angeles, it makes heavy usage of aluminium, used throughout the entire car from the inside out. With this, weight is kept down and structural rigidity is brought up with additional welds and enforcement. 4-Wheel Carbon-Ceramic brakes are standard on V12 models and optional on V8 models. Unfazed by any challenge, the Rennen Atrani showcases the next generation of driving dynamics.

Executive V12 trim in Hazed Amethyst Metallic shown.

Exterior
Only one body style will be available for the Atrani; a long-wheelbase sedan. Aesthetically, the Atrani receives long, low proportions and sharp yet elegant angles placed throughout the span of the Atrani’s elongated body. A bold character line is defined by a strip of long chrome flowing from a functional front vent down the length of the car. The front fascia is tall yet wide, giving a purposefully stark appearance, with the signature Angel Wing headlights. Rennen used exclusive silver badges for V12 models of the Atrani to heighten the aura of luxury and refinement. Front-hinged rear doors add elegance and poise to the Atrani’s already alluring stature. The Atrani truly encapsulates the design language of Rennen.

Executive V12 trim with Jet Black and Sangria Red inserts with Cherrywood trim shown.

Interior
Only the most luxurious and sumptuous materials and design are fabricated for the Atrani. Rennen’s REV® infotainment (REV®) comes as standard on an 11" touch or dial-operated screen. In addition, a secondary screen underneath performs interior changes, such as functioning as climate control, ambient lighting, moonroof adjustment, among others. A blend of analog and digital gauges rest in front of your eyes, blending solid aluminum gauge borders with digital readouts which can tell you other information such as location, direction, and others. Executive models remove a middle rear seat in favor of a more recessed seating position, allowing for heated and cooled reclining massage seats with footrests, a drink cooler, and rear-seat infotainment system with a removable tablet. A 21-speaker 1400 watt Bowers & Wilkins® audio system is standard on Exclusive and Executive models. Semi-autonomous technology is available alongside a heads-up display, pre-collision warning, a 360° parking camera with parking sensors, and other safety technology. The latest Atrani is built to be the best it can be; going into the third decade of the 21st century, it will be unbeatable.

The interior would look even great if the screen is in one piece!!

Just discovered your brand - this is all flabbergastingly good. The general gist seems to me like :"This is what Acuras should look like (this goes esp. for the Angeles and Kastana models).

The pistures are also incredibly well made - in the sea splash Kastana and the industral facade Valouria pics, I might have been fooled into thinking there’s an actual car standing there.

Aesthetically and dynamically the Atrani is a corker - there is hardly anything in its class on the market right now that looks better than this inside or out and promises to have true driver appeal. I would want mine to be an Executive V12, with the R-Sport and Solo packages, and a dark metallic green exterior color (if only because it’s not even part of the standard color palette), with a brown and black interior. It’s a pity it won’t be available as a coupe, though. I wonder how much better such a car would look?
