Rigel Trës MK2

Rigel in 1991 launched its first urban model, a 3.3-meter vehicle and a three-cylinder engine, called “Trës”. This denomination due to its 3-cylinder propellant and the Spanish word “tres” which means three the total number of cylinders.

Now in the fall of 1994, the second generation of the Trës is launched. These are the new keys to success:

Size: The car has increased its length by 10 centimeters, creating a more spacious cabin for its occupants. In total, its 3.4 meters make it a perfect urban car, easy to park and light.

Engine: Since its creation, the range has only had an innovative three-cylinder engine, thus reducing its weight, its fuel consumption and being more respectful of the environment. We can choose gasoline varieties from 50 to 80 horsepower and a single 70 horsepower diesel.

Changes: The new front and rear optics are more adapted to a segment A market and have been made observing the work of the Japanese designer Hideo Kodama (creator of the Corsa B, Micra 2, Mazda 121). This gives the car an oriental touch that the brand seeks to open new markets such as Japan. Finally the total redesign of its dashboard, placing the odometer in a central position above the center console, a design exercise.

Driver: The most urban, access engine to the range with 50 hp and all the essential comforts for day to day. Its two-tone rims and its distinctive blue along the bumpers indicate that we are dealing with the Driver, the most economical of the range, for those who want to enjoy driving around the city and forget about the rest. 1.2 Three-cylinder carburetor gasoline engine with 50 hp and a 4-speed manual gearbox.

Diesel: Diesel doesn’t have to be boring, combine it with a wide variety of colors and gobble up miles! With all the comforts you need, air conditioning, central locking, ABS, driver’s airbag and rear headrest among its standard equipment. Robust 1.4 Diesel three-cylinder injection engine with 70 hp and a 5-speed manual gearbox

Sport: Comfort and sportiness come together in the Sport model. Dominate the city in a big way and enjoy its extra equipment such as its metallic paint, low-weight tires, canvas roof and its 76 hp 1.5 gasoline injection engine. Everything you’re looking for in a small jar.

I like how these cars are Japanese and French inspired, but have nevertheless a slight spanish vibe in them. Your vehicles are actually believable.

Rigel Tinto - 1994 Update

After 2 years in the European market, the Tinto is updated with a tuning that brings new details to the vehicle, new engines and features for BeamNG. The brand continues to bet on its 4-meter compact, the aesthetic renovation is simple but necessary to continue sales. Its interior now more mature and with greater detail. Finally, its new Wagon version is released, which will be available at the end of 1993 and beginning of 1994 (I will upload it soon)

Details: New interiors with improvements to the roof and added details. More mature and realistic exterior finishes.

Engines: Added two EFI gasoline engines and a new diesel.

BeamNG: Corrected lights and added turn signals in the speedometer, handbrake signals, etc…

TINTO 5 door Versions

Young: The most basic on the market, access model with a 70 hp 1.4 gasoline engine, basic interior, little security, only thinking about low cost. Perfect for low budgets or young people with their first car.

Business: Mid-range model with gasoline and diesel engines, the unit in the photo mounts a 90 hp 1.9 turbo diesel intercooler, standard interior with AM/FM radio and cassette, standard 1990 security, ABS, power steering. Correct car with a great price/performance balance, ideal for families, company cars, taxis, renting…

Auto-Matiq: High-end finish, the name comes from placing a 5-speed automatic gearbox and the best interior qualities with cream leather. This finish mounts 15¨ alloy wheels and a premium interior with a sunroof, automatic windows and more premium features. Perfect for someone who wants a great car without having a big budget.

In 1994, two electronic injection gasoline engines were added for the medium versions and a 2.2-liter diesel for the high-end versions.

In a few days it will be available for download on my BeamNG mods profile

Interior roof and especially pillars are really a pain in the a… in Automation. As I use my cars in Beam, I do really detailed interiors but above the gauges I become lazy. Sun visors, mirror and maybe lamps have to be enough.

Hi, thanks for the comment! You are right, the creation of the interior is tedious and there is little to choose from, thank goodness some mods to create greater realism. Let’s hope that some things inside will improve soon, Regards!

Rigel Tinto Wagon

In 1992 Rigel launched its first best seller, the Tinto, a 4-meter compact vehicle which seeks to gain a foothold in the tough European market.

A year later, in 1993, the family version of the Tinto called “Wagon” was presented. The Tinto Wagon arrives with the intention of conquering families that need more space, adventurers looking for a lot of luggage for their hobbies or simply someone who wants more luggage capacity. It will be available at the end of 1993 and beginning of 1994.

Practical, durable, spacious, are some of its main attributes. As is customary in the brand, several versions have been designed to satisfy the demand of a large public target, both in petrol engines and diesel engines.

Wagon Young: Practical, large and at a low price, what more can you ask for from Rigel’s relative? Access model with an EFI 1.5 petrol engine with 60 horsepower, basic interior, little security, only thinking about low cost. Perfect for low budget families.

Wagon Essential : Everything you and your family need at a reasonable price. Enjoy its large cargo volume to carry your children’s bikes, the dog and even the bbq on the weekends, fill it with life!
Enjoy its 1.7 gasoline engine with 80 horsepower. ABS, central locking, driver airbag and air conditioning. Unmistakable in its silver blue color with mint green strips and its careful Dino green fabric interior. Optionally you can add the new ¨NAV Route¨ display to know the status of the vehicle and different witnesses.

Wagon Auto-Matiq: The top of the Wagon range, maximum comfort and luxury details with its leather interior, sunroof and double front airbag. Its comfort is combined with a large 105-horsepower 2.2-liter diesel engine and the smoothness of a 5-speed automatic gearbox. As standard it is sold with the new ¨NAV Route¨ display to know the status of the vehicle and different witnesses.

I like the Tinto as very realistic build (saying that, my cars are often over the top in terms of Power!) but the rear of the wagon is not my cup of tea.
As for south-european cars of that era, the Diesel range is something most competitors won’t have, the opponent Primus Primo does not offer that, neither is it available as wagon - you would have to upgrade to the Merit. Especially in the D4 is a lot of Spanish Fuego!
Another realistic thing is the Young model. Back then, many brands offered a no-option car with peppy colors at a discount with similar advertizing.

Thank you very much the comment!

Yes, the truth is that diesel engines would be amazing to see them in the game, for now limit rpms, increase torque and compression to create some fake diesel hahaha

The 90s were incredible (in Europe) bringing out basic models with air conditioning as a gift and they gave it another name and a strip of color, what a time those

Friend you should create a theme of your own brand to see all your models in detail. All the best!

si, senor, but that would take days just to take the screenshots of all my cars I built this year.
I also have fake diesel engines by setting the cam profile low and the valve stiffness to soft, as well as getting up with compression. But I installed them in the delivery vehicles and larger cars, as a Diesel would be an advantage only for frequent travellers. If you want a Diesel in a smaller vehicle, Rigel doesn’t have a lot of competition here.

RIGEL NAVIO 1995 SUV

At the end of the 80s, the development of a range of multi-purpose SUVs for the European market began, which ended with the creation of the Pizarro. Since then, the brand has tried to make the leap from Europe to the United States and be able to take a slice of the juicy cake of the thousands of vehicles that circulate on the roads of Canada, the United States and Mexico. Thus, in 1995, the Rigel Navío landed, an SUV with V6 and V8 engines, high-quality finishes and a very competitive price.

In December 1995 it will be available, we leave you a preview of the billboard.

Looks American with another light European influence, like a mix of Ford Explorer and Opel Frontera. It fits very well what it should be.

With macho styling like that, there’s no doubt it would have been a hit on both sides of the Atlantic!

Thanks friend! The idea was to create the Pizarro (European 4x4) in an American V8 version of 5 meters long. Soon I will upload the first models!

A good v8 SUV for the good Texan MACHO! hahaha

Rigel Navio (1995)

At the end of the 80s, the development of a range of multipurpose SUVs for the European market began, which ended with the creation of the Pizarro. Since then, the brand has tried to make the leap from Europe to the United States and be able to take a slice of the juicy pie of the thousands of vehicles that circulate on the roads of Canada, the United States and Mexico. Thus, in 1995, the Rigel Navío landed, an SUV with V6 and V8 engines, high-quality finishes and a very competitive price.

History of the brand in the United States: in 1994 two Rigel subsidiaries are created, which will be supervised, controlled and financed by Rigel Europe. The first of these was ASIA Rigel, which would be in charge of importing, marketing, designing and selling vehicles in countries like Japan or China. The other subsidiary would be called North Rigel and would be in charge of the distribution and manufacture of Rigel models made in the United States. In the early 1990s, Rigel (through heavy funding) was able to convert a steel mill in the state of Kansas into a modernized factory with some automation for manufacturing a couple of independent vehicle lines. In this way, more vehicles could be created without sacrificing existing production in Europe and being able to both design and manufacture twice as many vehicles at the same time.

The key to success is “Made In U.S.A ``: aware of the importance of local manufacturing for these countries, it was very important that there was no importation of vehicles from Europe that would take away the market from local vehicles such as Ford or Chevrolet. The important thing was to resort to a technique that the Japanese carried out with great success, which was to give work to local people and manufacture 100% American vehicles, in this way we promote employment and position yourself positively over existing brands.

RIGEL NAVIO: The Navío is the largest vehicle produced to date by the Spanish company (5270 mm), this new vehicle is a large SUV and a luxurious appearance to create a rival Ford Explorer or Chevy Suburban. Prepared with the best equipment and the highest possible quality to comfortably accommodate up to seven passengers or to carry luggage. Highly efficient engines, both V6 and V8, maximizing power and minimizing fuel consumption. All engines can be used with lower octane, refueling more specific gasoline for high altitude environments. Its interior is based on controlled luxury and technology, finally being able to deliver an efficient, safe, durable product at a contained price close to $20,000 (High Range) in 1995.

LT: Good things have a beginning, this is the Navío LT. It’s not basic, but it has everything an average American family needs in their life, a large interior space in two-tone gray-blue fabric and with the capacity for a third row of seats to take your children’s friends to baseball. Stay warm with air conditioning, ABS safety, dual front airbags, and the convenience of power steering and power windows. With this fantastic equipment we almost forgot about its engine, a 3.7-liter V6 with 190 horsepower, don’t spend too much, it’s just what you need. Rear-wheel drive and 5-speed manual gearbox.

XLT: It’s good to stand out, and even better in an XLT. 5 meters of chrome and a cream leather interior is enough of an argument to understand what an XLT is. If you need luxury, take a look at its interior upholstered entirely in cream leather and trimmed in wood, all the comforts such as cruise control, ECO mode, ROUTE Nav (car status browser), automatic gearbox and various exterior customization options with its metallic colors. Pair the XLT with a 4.3-litre V6 or a 5.7-litre V8, that’s up to you! If you fancy a walk in the countryside, don’t worry! Its height and the addition of low protectors will prevent you from having a hard time.
