RIGEL TINTO X (1997)
The TINTO X is the first crossover of the European brand and raises it under the same platform as the Rigel Tinto mk2, mixing asphalt and Off Road. A vehicle exclusively designed to combine in a practical and sporty way the two worlds that fascinate us so much, on the one hand sportsmanship on asphalt, and on the other to overcome obstacles on the ground and get into muddy areas.
The X has been built on the same platform as the TINTO mk2, but its chassis has been modified from the B-pillar, we are talking about a three-door vehicle with a flat tailgate imitating rancheras or family vehicles. The new C-pillar gives the vehicle a very country and practical look by having a large access mouth to the tailgate and being able to load a large number of objects.
Inside, we still have a spacious five-seater despite its three-door character.
Main features:
-
A high driving height that gives it dynamism off-road and allows the vehicle to roll freely between potholes or muddy areas without major complications.
-
The placement of a 4x4 system that will give the vehicle a marked off-road character, very practical for its real use off the asphalt, will not mount a reducer.
-
robust look thanks to its new wheel arches, robust plastic sills and new rear and front bumpers made of a highly resistant plastic material, which will mean that receiving impacts in the field will not result in dents or chips in the paint.
-
Robust and aggressive on the outside, but refined and welcoming on the inside, the interior will collect its occupants, providing all the safety of its standard airbags, ABS and the comfort of elements such as electric power steering or a latest generation CD.
Trims and Engines
URBAN: The simplest finish that will mount only front wheel drive, ABS as standard, electric steering, central locking, double front airbag, an exterior look package in robust plastic and in short, a vehicle that will perfectly combine a country look with urban practicality.
4XDRIVE: For the most adventurous and those who want to go further, this model will have four-wheel drive and combined with its new G3 and D3 engines will give it power to make off-road getaways and reach places where others cannot.
At the release date, the model will have only three engines, two latest-generation gasolines with 90 and 115 horsepower and a single 2-liter 90 HP Diesel engine.
It is not ruled out in future years to expand the range within Europe to better adapt to the needs on demand that may exist.
