Alright so, I just made a fuckton of variants of the 3rd generation Pegaso Cherry so, imma break them all down for y’all (or at least for the ones reading this shit)

Pegaso Cherry 1.4 Start 3-Door

The Start 1.4 Is the most basic Cherry people could order from the dealership, with its 70ps multivalve 1.4 Litre 4 cylinder engine, It manages to make a very decent 6.8 Litres per 100km

Its simple design and ergonomics makes It one of the cheapest cars for starters, as its monikers say

Nothing more to add, simple, cheap, slow, unsafe, just your average early 90s hatchback

Pegaso Cherry 1.6 Paseo

Ah yes, the Paseo 1.6, which its basically the “Luxury and confort entry vehicle” as Pegaso said back in 1989 when it was firstly introduced

Rather than the Start, this one has a bigger engine, a DOHC 1.6 litre inline 4, that makes the fair amount of 90ps, delivered to the front wheels

Pegaso Cherry 1.8 GTI 16V/S16

The younger you are, the stupider you are (luckily there are exceptions), and what’s stupider than buying a tin can on wheels that’s a bargain? Nothing, that’s the only correct answer

The glorious Cherry GTI 16V, with its mighty M4K1 variant MA (yes, the engine its called M4K1-MA) 1.8L inline 4, that makes the amount of 122hp, it doesnt sound like a lot, but when you realize that a bag of potato chips and a can of soda are more expensive than this thing, you’ll think that it’s a bargain no matter how you look at it

The Cherry GTI was sold in Europe and in Japan, but under the name of “Cherry S16”, because they were a fuckton of cars like the Cherry, which they sporty trims were named GTI, the Hakone Shira 2.0 GTI, the Houraisan Vértigo GTI 16, the Kirisame Jordan TwinCam GTI…

Pegaso Cherry Turbo GTI 16V

We’d tell you this is a factory sleeper but it looks like the monster you had in your closet when you were a kid, so we’ll just say you’ll be the king of the neighborhood with this thing parked outside your house (if it doesn’t get stolen)

Ah the bittersweet Cherry Turbo GTI 16V, sweet because with this thing you’d beat anyone with the desire to race who dares to get in your way, and bitter because it’s literally a coffin on wheels

For this perfomance hot hatch, Pegaso chose the 1.6 inline 4 from the Paseo, instead of the 1.8 from its non-turbocharged GTI brother, because of its high maintainance costs

This model was sold only in Europe, but Pegaso did made a special version of It only available for the Japanese market…
