Preferred the facelift multipla.
I got the philosophy, design the car from the inside out to make a better experience for the occupants, but it didn’t need to be so weird on the outside.
#Saminda to revamp engine lineup , may ditch most of its V6 currently in the models in favor of a turbocharged four-cylinder
Saminda is pushing to lead the fuel economy race with an all-new engine family, and the C5 will be the first car to reap the benefits. As part of these sweeping changes coming to the brand’s powertrain lineup, the next-generation C5 is likely to ditch its naturally aspirated V6 in favor of a small displacement turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
The Japanese automaker’s long-term goal is to improve fuel economy by up to 30 percent while cutting costs on key components by up to 50 percent.
Obligatory “Still no V8 RWD” whiner post.
Relying only on turbo 2-liter straight fours brings some advantages: it saves weight and cost while improving economy with the correct tuning setup. On the other hand, compared with a six-cylinder engine, a turbo four provides less prestige, which is not a concern in downmarket categories, but can be problematic elsewhere. Finally, most engines of this kind sound alike (and are often quite muted compared to NA sixes) - particularly since horizontally opposed engines haven’t been implemented yet. That said, it is possible to build a turbo four which can provide decent performance and still return good economy figures.
Fine if Saminda doesn’t want V8 and RWD , but V6 is gone too? goddamit Saminda.

The C7 Sport Hybrid is the first Saminda to receive it powertrain from their sibling Auxuras which will be sold in North America , and it’s very powerful and has impressive fuel economy.
If you are looking for a budget Auxuras STL , the Saminda C7 Sport Hybrid fits your bill.

Silly, that’s all about this possible CZ6 design study, hope you won’t kill me for the name and the idea
Today at 6:32 London Time one covered supercar was delivered to Saminda headquarters and driven into open garage with test models. Then it got uncovered and secretly unveiled as CZ7 Concept.
Well, Airborne CZ7 Concept is something made purely to show Saminda in which direction they can also go (even by sub-companies or coop); economical, but powerful units. Engine of this thing is a 4000cc V6 based on CZ6’s engine that was sourced from totaled unit.
As Airborne’s tradition says, they used classic monocoque chassis made from carbon fibre (strongly based on Megi pre-production concept) and assembled to carbon fibre bodyshell. Wheels are also made from carbon fibre.
Suspension is however something pretty new to company; they are full-prepared pushrods to provide most sporty experience possible in a sports car. According to Airborne’s reputation about great gearboxes they installed 7-speed sequential box delivered straight from Haiyan and AWD drivetrain with torque placed more to rear than to front to avoid understeer. Sadly, due to aerodynamic needs CZ7 also has gargantuicly big rear wing and massive front lip.
About performance, well - this car needs only 2.7 seconds to 100 km/h, can reach 326 km/h (it can even 365 with AERO OFF mode, but we don’t recommend it ). Brakes are delivered straight from Cerberus limited hypercar and set up for racing, so the car brakes from 100 km/h from distance well below 30 metres.
The name is okay as we doesn’t have CZ7 which means there is no copyright.
Thanks for the CZ7 , we will kept it in our museum (CZ6 still need to go , am sorry)
No problem.
BTW there’s second CZ7 in Airborne’s HQ anyway but with 2.2 V8 from Haiyan xD
If Saminda-Auxuras wants to win back the trust of its customers or at least raise the profile of its brand, the CZ7 could be the right way to do it. Hybrid and fuel cell propulsion is all well and good for economy and emissions, but the CZ7 is the only car in their lineup to appeal to the heart, except for the FWD Type-R, particularly since it looks and drives like a road racer, huge wing and all, although the wing that was actually used is very dated, and a GT3-style rear wing (specifically, the biplane one, which is a vanilla fixture) would suit the CZ7’s racetrack refugee vibe far better. The front end reminds me of Mazda’s Nagare concept cars, and the extreme cab-forward shape is distinctive compared to the CZ6 it could replace.
However, there are a few problems: although its V6 engine displaces exactly 4 liters, it only makes 589 bhp (and that is at its 7300-rpm redline - not being able to rev beyond that can be a hindrance at times); I have actually managed to squeeze out >600 horsepower from smaller six-cylinder engines (both in-line and V6) without sacrificing too much economy in the process. Also, in the supercar market six cylinders is seldom enough to convince customers due to the lack of prestige they provide, and prestige is as important as performance in this segment. I am optimistic about the CZ7, though; I hope it can provide a unique driving experience for wealthy enthusiasts to savor - its AWD system and extensive use of composite components should make it feel like a mid-engined GT-R, but with much less weight and in a smaller body. And after a string of serious recalls, hopefully they will have improved the reliability of their whole range, including the CZ7.
Just for fun, I also built a car using the Aero J6 body from @Razyx with a similar philosophy, but with a 3-liter turbo straight-six driving just the rear wheels (RWD was the only way to get that engine to fit in the J6’s small engine bay, and even then it was a tight squeeze) and developing 400 or 500 bhp. The result was surprisingly quick off the mark, handled brilliantly and capable of very high speeds even with the base engine setup. It would not have been possible without all-composite construction, but I suspect it would not see which way the more powerful AWD CZ7 went… It would have been a nice contrast, though.
- CZ7 Concept is typical concept car, design exercise and pool for new tech designed by one of Airborne’s new designer (18 yrs old, hardcore Saminda fan btw)
- Originally CZ7 was without wing and spoiler but ugh, understeer
- As Airborne Automotive does they don’t want to make engines that are too stressed; company prefers to make power, but also with reliability, you know. And this engine is capable even for 700 hp running unstressed but my goal was also good economy
- Original plan for CZ7 was to use V8, but it would be against CZ6’s spirit I guess
And about eventual production, my company would need to talk with Saminda (hence this is Airborne CZ7, not Saminda CZ7), but as I heard they don’t plan to add a pure supercarr to offer, so yeah xD
A supercar does not win back the trust of its customers. The purpose of the CZ6 was to increase brand prestige and I think it has done so quite well.
I’m sure starfish94 can decide when is best to release the CZ7.
I think in order to gain trust , Saminda need to clear it recent disaster especially it recent recalls , when a company have good reputation , they tend to slack off , so they have to face the consequences
@Deskyx For what we see Saminda is going “green” , i don’t think we can expect anymore supercar.
@Oskiinus And i like how Airborne Group humiliate Saminda with the CZ7
About Airborne Group himiliating…
Well, we just hired new designer, too bad he was hardcore Saminda fan.
We let him design a supercar, and… ;_;
you let him name it too?
Which name do you want - CZ7 or 2016 Unnamed Supercar Design?
Just call it the CZ7.
V6 engines with a displacement of at least 4 liters have been surprisingly effective in some contests - @nialloftara won CSR1 with a car powered by a 4.1-liter V6 driving the front wheels, rather like an Alfa 166 turned up to 11, and also won the first part of BFMCC1 with an OHV V6 of similar displacement driving the rear wheels. That said, with such high displacement, smoothness will be sacrificed. But at least the CZ7 has a twin-turbo setup - a single turbo, which is not possible in this game, would make it sound even worse!
