I understand that the current auto-save system is bugged, but having it save whenever you make a change is also physically hard on the hard drives, expecially when making a car that someone spends a lot of time tweaking to make it as good as possible.
If it saved either as a timed autosave (user setable times), or whenever the player pressed either the last tab to view the performance, or left a section, or exited the sandbox/designer might work out better and might be less prone to bugs.
Hello
find it better if you abolish the automatic saving again or can choose it if you can enable or disable this option .
The reason is with me , that I 'm building a car . When I’ve finished I change z.bdie spotlight again and then realize that my first version of my car hat.Früher better like I finished the sandbox and my first version of the car remained unchanged since , because I the other , second version had not saved and is now automatically every Verändeung gespeichert.Dadurch I lose my first car version .
What one should perhaps introduce another name for the Platform is thus a PlatformName
example
Audi A4 = Vehicle Name
1,8 T = model name
B5 = Platform

I would love if we get a brand name slot, model, revision/platform & trim or something like that.
Take the Audi as an example.
The Brand name is Audi, Model A4. Then You can have platform/revision. You release the b5 in 95 then you make a facelift in 99 (a new trim). Then in 01 you make a new revision/platform of the same model (the b6).
So you can rerelase the same model but with a new car in a couple of years.
Hope you guys understand what i mean.

Hello thank you for your answer .
I have also been thinking about me , but if I want to do a facelift then it changes me my 1995 models .
It would be better if you first formed the body and this can save it as a platform ( as an internal name ) . Then you build ran its attachments such as headlights, taillights , etc. and developed his engine and can enter the model name Example : Audi A4 then perhaps the amenities you can also designate thought so so
Platform sales designation
B5 Audi A4 1.8T
3G Passat 1.8 Comforline
And daa can manually save and not every change is stored equal .
The thing with automation’s system is that making model and platform two separate things wouldn’t bring much, appart from having cars with a different brand/name sharing one platform.
That could be interesting but I do not think it is worth the UI space it would take and the additional complexity.
Nothing keeps you from calling one car the “Audi A4 B5” and then call the evolution of that car the “Audi A4 B6”.
Also, autosave system is being worked on, to fix the current problems.
hello
I found the solution from Version 1418 optimal.Dort could develop a vehicle and abspeichern.Danach could change this model and subsequently save them under a different name without the basic model has been changed .
My thought is , if I eg a model designing for example an Audi A4 1.6 basic model and would then offer a higher quality same model with spoiler and alloy wheels or Audi S4 on the same platform as my basic model is upgraded or when choosing a castle so I kann.Das change anything is a shame because it has good works! in the previous version with the manual store , it would be great again this way or in the form recoup
many Thanks
