Gentlemen, build some engines! Round 2 of season 3 has just started!
Again, there are two themes for you:
2001 Hillclimb Race Car
Give some power to this ultra lightweigt car! But not too much!
1981 American Pickup Truck
After the first Oil Crisis: Can you turn the market around with a more economical truck or will you put your trust in cheap gas-guzzlers again?
Send the engine files via PM to me (not Pyrlix) in this season! Please name the files in this structure: Theme-Name, for example “1981 Pickup-Der Bayer” That makes stuff easier for me.
The car weighs 1600 kg before you put an engine in. It’s there for your information so that you can judge how much power it needs.
By the way: I changed the bugged torque progress calculation in the hillclimb theme (it was just totally wrong). Some might want to revisit their engines.
ha I upped the power and decreased the weight and made my engine with something like 22% efficiency on it I am rather impressed with my dinky Gravity well of an engine it still revs to 9000rpm…pity I might go back and review that since its a hill climb engine range doesnt matter I might up the rev limit on it to like 10,500rpm…but idk…need to test first
No, I changed calculation in the spreadsheet after a few minutes. You sent your first engine before that change, so I allowed you to send me another engine which is optimised for the new calculations. So basically your second engine is the one that will count (this applies only for TheTom and you). Every engine after the second one will not count.
“Bugs” in the engine design are your problem and you usually have time until Sunday to eliminate them. Again, don’t send your engine file already on Friday, when you are not happy with it.
edit: Again, I’m still missing some engine files. I will exclude the respective participants from voting tomorrow, if I don’t get the files within 24 hours.
yeah I did a rough draft and I should have refined it I needed a few hours to think on it so ditched the VTEC and went for good old VVT on all Cams with 5 Valve per cylinder and a higher RPM limit which I said was 9700rpm when I looked at it again it was 9600rpm xD what a mistake
