Why “dead”?
I’d drive that (if I were a rich Automationversian).
i don’t know i just felt like posting dead car
also you supposing it’s for rich people but base version starts at 45000$AMU, cause it’s much smaller than it looks like
It’s not dead after all - and after seeing the side profile, I’m convinced it would be a real contender in the mid-sized premium segment. My only gripe is that the rear overhang appears a bit too long - a symptom of the boot being longer than it should be, but not by much.
Technically it’s a Shooting brake, as it’s a 2-doors. Wagons are generally 4-doors. It looks great though, I love the detail on the wheel arches
I disagree though. Historically the word “shooting brake” has mainly been used for more sports car like wagons and if you had called for example a Ford Escort a “shooting brake” in the 70s, people would have laughed at you. Sure, sometimes it might be hard to draw a line, as it is between a 2 door sedan and a coupé sometimes. However, both 2 door sedans and wagons have more or less disappeared nowadays.
That’s a new one for me. Here 4 door cars were never popular, they were seen as taxi cars, so our wagons were usually 2 doors. This only changed in the 90s and now every car is 4 door unless it’s a super basic hatchback. There were even some weird laws that considered any 3 door car as a wagon, and thrus, exempt from some taxes. My car is a 80’s hatch but it’s officialy considered a wagon.
That’s about it. For me at least, it’s a shooting brake it the base car was is a sports car, and a wagon it it was a sedan/hatchback.
