Sell on Monday, Win on Sunday [Finished]

In any case, while you might not be winning any reviews in the Eco category, you’re nowhere near the drops from what I can see. Given that Leonardo9613 was aiming for 20-30 racers and only has 27 legal entrants so far, I’m guessing he’ll go with something like 6 drops in the Eco bracket and 3 more in the Sport bracket.[/quote]

In that case I’m probably gone lol.

I wasn’t sure if the drops would go ahead as there were less than the limit for the BROBOT races.

:frowning:

On the bright side, at least now you have a better idea of what’s possible for future competitions.

…would you like me to look over your car and make comments after the Eco category results are up? I enjoyed doing the car reviews I did for BRC 1955 - I could do similar here, or via PM, if you’d be interested.

I’d definitely appreciate it  thanks!

Cool - PM me the files whenever.

Do you want me to post here or PM you?

Low practicality and drivability… I don’t feel confident at all.
Also on the subject of engines, I went with a 1.2L SOHC 12V MPFI Inline 4 with a 14.6 AFR.

Yeah, the drops will be a lot smaller than planned at first. I blame the, smaller than the 30-35 entries expected, number of entries on the saving bugs. I know of 5 different people who didn’t send a car because the game kept deleting all their files and causing bugs.

Yeah - I’m putting off entering any more contests until after some bugfix patches have gone through. It’s pretty raw at the moment.

(I’m also putting off starting my own contest, [self-deprecation]but that’s unrelated[/self-deprecation].)

Here are some other charts that you guys might find interesting.

Eight-and-a-halfth out of twenty-seven in the 0-100 kph, twenty-third out of twenty-seven for top speed, twenty-fifth out of twenty-seven for safety. The power of building a car that only weighs 707 kg!

I’m super surprised by the gold star in service costs, though. Hurrah for pushrods! Hopefully the low service costs will make customers feel better about the tape deck eating their favorite cassettes.

Ugh… not beating averages very often. Now I know for sure my eco is not going to get a review. Please have mercy and move on to the Sport trim, Leo… lol

(Tongue in cheek; I know I am going to become roadkill in the Sport trim)

Fairly easy to see who is running pushrods by looking at the maintenance costs

Hopefully my car will be decent, but I doubt my ecobox will be good enough for a review.

Hopefully the sporty trim will, and the race trim will be good enough for a podium.

Just think, if I was not rounding out the bottom one of you guys would be!

@NoahC: Just you wait until we get to the Sport bracket - then I’ll show you! :stuck_out_tongue:

Packbat, you will be Astonished by the results.

/get slapped in back of head.

Ummm how did I manage to do so well in some of these compared to the others? Honestly, the reliability graph actually surprised me, as I didn’t think I’d put so much into it, especially my lack of use of quality sliders for almost everything.

Quality sliders gives a little boost for a high cost (usually); can be used for fine tuning but a good car recipe it’s the best way to make a good score. I’ve used very little quality too.

Yeah, in general quality isn’t really worth it unless you have a very high budget, which isn’t really the case here.

Although I did use some quality in my race car, I used almost none in my other two cars, spending the surplus money on better parts instead.

Slowest to 100 I grant you. But buy my car and your bottom will be very happy indeed!

Looks like I took a rather extreme route.

Well… i’m surprised

TMR best at making econo-box.
