That is very good from a lore point of view, given the van’s built for a courier service
It seems that I’ll pit once for fuel, as will DeusExMackia. The top four are looking at 3-4 stops. However, a difference of half a minute for a half hour race translates to a difference of 10 minutes over a 10 hour race, which isn’t going to be covered by a few pit stops! Maybe a few really big shunts…
4th with best laptime in sprint race? so undriveability strikes again… Oh and I just realised my classic mini is a bit thirsty
koolkei it seems you have quite a gem
Will best time get an extra point (like in amwec15)?
What I’d love to know is what power and weight everybody’s running. I think mine was like 800hp and 1600kg or something. M-AWD format? Or F-AWD. Could be the latter, since I’m pretty sure I was running 385s all around. But I can’t remember.
You still edged out the self-driving van. Notably, it looks like you, the auto-van, and the Maverick from HighOctaneLove all had a pit stop. Maybe my van did cause the incident and some damage. I’m sure Luke’s busy trying to hustle his team into installing a signal repeater at the far end of the track so that he can monitor the van and take control if it’s doing something like that again. Either that, or the cooling system overheated again and it made a turn a bit on the slow side and bumped someone.
Not exactly the best of ways to make friends with Luke. Technically, while he’s heavily EMP shielded, something like that threatens both him and the safety of others on the track if that van loses control. And he’s the kind of vindictive and devious android who might decide your pit crew’s air tools need a few dozen pinholes in the air lines. Or to corkscrew a random tire in your tire rack. Or possibly hide a few kilograms of fish in your van after racing hours, so your drivers have to put up with that during the endurance race.
All I have to say is, watch your back in the Endurance race, and between races, because Luke has no need for sleep, and he’s very patient.
The Surge’s engine system is still in its experimental stages and it looks as if we may have found a bug in the system. We will try placing a few dampening plates around the engine bay, however, we cannot definitively say how much it will help. We will offer our own software free of charge to Luke to make sure he has the best quality of life in the group.
Well that is a very satisfying result for us. The endurance strategy worked perhaps even better than we expected.
The addition of the point for fastest lap in race, however, nay prove to be the very thing that prevents us from grabbing top spot! We’ll aim for consistency and ongoing strong results in the endurance and hope for the best.
Bummer, I just made a retune not knowing there would be additional limitations. At least now I know what differences will make a good change to my van.
Good news! Their has been an update to the spreadsheet which has givern me several additional parameters to add to the results including the [quote=“strop, post:114, topic:15904”]
number of race incidents
