Thanks! The way I’m interpreting your car request here: A “typical” car for someone on a budget. Something we’d recommend to someone besides ourselves (because we’re car fans), but we want something that if that person actually bought it, we’d not hear them bitching about how crappy the car was. I thought about the little Suzuki cars back in the day immediately. Reliable little 2-door runabouts, everyone and their dog loved them. So anyway, before I post, are little “SUV’s” applicable?

Thats a great way to think about it! Although the people probably should complain about the car being slightly crappy. Little SUV things are allowed, i might slightly change the rules just to say that because i hadn’t thought of that, meanwhile i built one myself lmao. Btw, putting a little sprinkling of sportiness and a bit of fun into the cars is also something that probably will make you do well, especially since performance is not the real focus of this “challenge”.

Good point. Well, I managed to make a cute little runabout for 17000 on the nose (before profit), and it even has AWD!. Its running the Automation track now…might be a while lol

Edit: Been driving it in Beam and MAN I LOVE THIS THING! It isn’t “fast”, but it is a hoot to drive with traffic. I think its faster in Beam than Automation says it is, because the little thing just scoots.

Meet the Mars Vision Super 1400 Turbo, the European version of a Japanese car which is superior to the North American model.
It may look fast, but its not that fast. Its a great runabout for the man with a girlfriend and dog, as it only has 2 seats to be “sporty”.
It does 0-100 in 9.9 seconds, and handled relatively well which made it popular for rally racing.
Budget it was! It only costed 18000 Euros, and it showed. Not great interior, low quality paint and cheap wheels. It worked though, becoming one of the most popular models, as the others were known for being slow and boring (Apart from the GTI).
It uses a Carburated Turbocharged 1.4 liter engine producing around 95 horsepower.
But hey, even if its slow it has personality! The personality of a chad.
