Smolensk Tuning

This is becoming a crazy battle of company pride, so Smolensk Tuning will step down with its dignity and honor intact.

But not before unleashing one last model, the Type CRS. “CRS” stands for two things. The first is “C Race Sport”, the second is “Crazy Racing Saloon”. Powered by a 5.8L V8, the car has over 1,000 horsepower!!! This power does not stop the Type CRS from getting more miles per gallon than the BMW 750i.

Who cares about 1/4th mile times when you can go faster than most supercars in a saloon?

Type CRS:

The new Smolensk C engine has been released. Check the informational post (first one) for details. Tuning requests and feedback are greatly appreciated!

you should rework the CSR engine. I mean, 1000+hp is nice, but the graph tells me that your turbo takes ages to kick in. The car accelerates very fast up to about 180mph, and then it takes almost 10 seconds until the car starts accelerating again.

Tom, first of all, that little saloon war was just for fun, and the models should not be taken very seriously. Secondly, the turbo kicks in extremely quickly, I do not know why there is such a lag. I shall try to eliminate that. Lastly, I am publicly admitting that the base model Tiger is a much better car overall than the Type C.

Okay. But Jak, you’re an awesome tuner, it was not my intention to build my car and really act as if it was better or something. I just wanted a car of that class with my own style, plus 550hp seemed right because the Maserati Quattroporte V8 has 530. With that being said, we shall wait until someone decides he wants his car tuned

Thanks, but I just want to make sure that the world knows that a 550hp car is faster than my 450hp car.

Here is Smolensk’s WRC entry. It is based on an upcoming road car from DQE.

Check out our new Smolensk SE engine. It is in the informational post (first one). All feedback and tuning requests are appreciated.

Here is the new Smolensk Type M. A top-of-the-line muscle car, the Type M is an incredible feat of engineering that rivals the Mustang GT500 and Camaro ZL1. With a 630hp naturally aspirated V8, the Type M will speed to 60mph in 3.9 seconds. Its top speed is an incredible 207mph, faster than any other muscle car on the market. The body is sleek, with an aggressive front end. In the corners, the Type M can get an incredible .97g, more than a Mazda MX-5. For only $49,899, the Type M is certainly the muscle car to buy. Feedback is welcome and appreciated!

Engine:

That’s a pretty high-revving engine for a musclecar, but nice job nevertheless!

I suppose it revs high, but not anything that could cause problems.

I’ll revise the platform and build a sister model for DQE because i don’t have a muscle car yet. It’s not meant to be a competition or anything, it might actually have less hp than the Type M. It’s some kind of Audi/VW relation

That’s a really good idea. Go ahead a make a DQE version.

The new Smolensk Type RS is the best performing car to come out of our factories. It is an 1100hp hypercar that is able to perform as well as any other car for sale today. Powered by a 3.0L turbocharged V8, the Type RS can get to 60mph in 2.9 seconds. Its top speed is an incredible 231mph. When it gets to that speed, stopping is made easy by 4 piston disc brakes. Smolensk Tuning strives to be the best in the world, and the Type RS is the best example of our achievements.

Type RS:

Wow, good balance of stats there (except the mpg haha) it’s not too overboard either  good job!

Well, a person who buys 1100hp cars typically does not care about fuel mileage.

After nearly 20 years, Smolensk has tuned another car for Lizzot. Here it is:

We at CMC Corp are very impressed with the quality and dedication to workmanship expressed by Smolensk Tuning. We are interested in a partnership for a special, limited-production version of our Ventirosso GTS sports car, for sale through our existing dealer network as a special anniversary model. We feel that Smolensk Tuning would make a great partner in this endeavor.

The Ventirosso GTS is a lightweight, yet refined, 200+ MPH AWD sporting GT car which offers blistering performance and superior roadholding, without sacrifice in terms of day-to-day usability or reliability. It is very important to us that our anniversary model should exemplify all of these traits, while expanding upon them. Reliability and driveability are particularly key concerns for us. As such, we request that Smolensk Tuning return their proposal with a drivetrain of no less than 44,000km MTBF, and with performance in all areas possible eclipsing our standard model. We are supplying our J60b38 (3.8l Twin-Turbo V8) engine as a production sample, but are amenable to other possible engine choices.

Our GT-1 platform monocoque chassis is of bonded aluminum, with polymer body panels in the GTS road car version. We are not adverse to the usage of more exotic chassis or body materials, if their costs are justified by the end product.

We are prepared to reward Smolensk with a very lucrative production contract, pending approval by our board of directors. Thank you for your attention!

Dear JMTC, i present you the GTS-750.
I already liked the look of the front, so i decided not to change it too much, but i changed the back end and also the engine. It’s now a 4.5L twin-turbocharged V8 with 750hp (hence the name GTS-750). The front and back lips are not only for aesthetics, but also (and mainly) for downforce and higher cornering speeds.

EDIT: I noticed that the engine makes insufficient MTBF. So i replaced it with a new, bigger engine that also makes 750hp but a bit more torque and a lot more MTBF:

Hope you enjoy
Greets,
Tom

Tom,

We are very pleased with your modifications for our new GTS-750 Anniversary model, and the board has given us the go-ahead to begin limited production. The revised 4.5L TT 750 engine meets and exceeds our durability targets, while shattering the standard GTS’s already impressive performance - well done! We are also happy to note that this drivetrain has ample headroom for additional third-party modification, which we feel could be a selling point for our intended clientele. We are also very pleased with the attention paid to aerodynamic and cooling efficiency; the former was a glaring weakness of the standard GTS model, whereas the latter had been strictly adequate in the original. We expect that some of these modifications will be integrated into next year’s standard GTS, and we are prepared to reward Smolensk Tuning with an additional bonus for their development work. Once again, well done.

A couple of our board members had some slight misgivings about the rear end styling of the GTS-750, but were persuaded that given the target demographic for the model, coupled with the measured performance benefits, the new styling sets this model well apart from the standard model, and there will be no mistaking the GTS-750 on the road - this, we expect, is exactly what our clientele will want.

A sum of 4 million Sealandian Sovereigns (the Sealandian Sovereign is the national currency of our off-shore, tax-sheltered host nation) has been wired to your offices as an advance for production orders to be commenced.

We will be marketing the new car as the Ventirosso GTS-750 Smolensk. Thank you for your time and input!
