Smolensk Tuning

Hello all, I have an idea for a tuning company. By my research, I do not believe this has been done before. My idea is that car companies make a model, and give a copy that platform and/or model to a “tuning company”. The tuning company might tune the engine, or maybe put a new engine in to the platform. They might also change the body a little bit. The original designer of the car might give the tuner a list of requirements/specifications that the tuner would try to meet. The car would then be given back to the original manufacturer, who would put it in their lineup as “(Model Name) tuned by (Tuner Name)” or add a line in the description giving credit to the tuner. I think this would be a really interesting concept for the forums.

My tuning company is Smolensk Tuning. We tune just about any car you can dream up. If you would like to make a “hot” version of a small car, we are the people to go to. If you want to tune a supercar to higher levels of performance, look no further than Smolensk Tuning. We can also put custom engines in cars. If you have a set of specifications that you would like your car tuned to, please give us the details of the car, as well the tuning requirements/specifications.

Great idea!
Here’s my engine, platform and model for you to tune!
Lookng forward to the result!

@WizzyThaMan- I’ll tune it and PM you when it is done.

Sure! But post the result here too!!

Made for WizzyThaMan, here is the Valencia RS Smolensk:

Amazing! I like this idea! Well executed! This adds quite a fun factor. Just submit your car that is aimed for standard or a bit more luxorious targetgroups, and let this guy do some magic to squeeze out those extra horsepowers, torque and give it that extra sporty, beasty look! Fun to cooperate like this!

You know what’d be great? A before/after comparison in one post.

Anyways, here is the 1978 Cossack M1300. Normally, the CTE would tune it, but in this alternate continuity it does not exist. The basic principle you’ve got to follow is the same: Make it powerful, but still cheap. You do not need to keep the engine though - Smolensk Tuning can go for whatever fits.

Tuned for Kubboz, here is the Cossack M-Series WRX with a before and after comparison:

I think this car lacks something important; sportivity.
You can advance 3 years in time, but not more.
You must keep the engine, but can modify it.
Keep it under 1100CC.
What else?.. please?

Very nice. A bit lacking on octane optimisation, but it is still great.

Tuned for salen00b, here is the Lizzot 35 Sport.

Love it!
Nice job on the car.
I’ll post it in my thread and give you credit for sure!

Thank you for the feedback. Anytime you need/want a car tuned, don’t hesitate to ask.

Smolensk Tuning is currently in the process of creating a tuned-in-house sports car for Smolensk Motors. Our goal is 800hp from a 2.0L V8. This should be coming out soon. While this is going on, Smolensk Tuning is still available for tuning requests.

Offering your own engines is nice, but i think getting 800hp from a 2.0L is impossible. But if it is possible, the MTBF will be 0, so you’re gonna start the engine and it breaks down, there would be no point in building an engine like that.
Here’s a 2.0L V8 with 520hp that i just built, and it makes less than 5000km MTBF.
2.0L V8 520hpRev0.lua (81.4 KB)

TheTom, what is the definition of impossible? Is it expensive? Yes. Does it run on ultimate? Yes. Is the MTBF 0? Yes. Does it produce 800hp? Yes. However, you are right about saying this would not be possible to put in a car. There seems to be a limit of 550hp, regardless of rpm.

2.0L XP 40V SmolenskRev0.lua (79.7 KB)

Well, atleast I wouldn’t be buying a car with an engine that has MTBF of 0!

I know it has 0 MBTF, it is just a proof-of-concept engine.

Actually, the 550 hp limit would only apply to engines that are not put in car yet, as it estimates the cooling capacity depending on engine’s displacement. But once you can provide a platform that meets the cooling requirements, it’ll work somewhat like charm.

That makes sense. In that case, prepare for the Smolensk Tuning Engine R.
