Sox Motors

Sox Motors began shortly after the 2nd World War, as the dream of an Egyptian mechanic. He saw the potential in the automotive market, as the American and European markets both exploded. Feeling that the African and Arabian market was getting neglected, our founder took it upon himself to deliver models across the board to cater for all customers across the continent. Fast forward to the modern day, and the marque sees no roof on its potential for success.

The most recent model, to be produced in limited numbers only, was meant to announce Sox Motors on the global stage. Introducing the Sox Phenom GT!!

The aggressive styling of the latest model is certainly not for the faint hearted. The model was designed for the most extravagant car enthusiasts only, as it aimed to gain the record of fastest production car in the world (which it at least came close to with a top speed of over 440kmh/275mph)! It also includes several memorable features, such as the instantly recognisable quad exhaust. Most importantly, it contains the multi-array side vents, which are a signature of Sox Motors.

As some of you may have noticed, the Phenom GT produces a tremendous amount of lift at 200 kp/h, which my engineers assure me will NOT lead to any cars turning into planes on the highway  Certainly, this is a car for those who are reckless enough to attempt to tame this monster car/plane. This lift, of course, being despite the existence of a HUGE wing at the back, scary enough to blow away any competitors in sight.

Aside from that ever-so-slight downforce issue, the Phenom GT manages to excel in most other areas. Featuring top of the line safety and entertainment, as well as hand crafted interior, the car is meant to make the owner feel right at the cutting edge of technology, while having a literal home on the road. This of course, results in a high weight for the car, though this is certainly offset by its near perfect weight distribution, allowing it to retain plenty of sportiness. Despite the massive 1100 hp output, economy is still found at a reasonable 20 mpg. Indeed, as shown by the sport and especially the prestige rating, you would struggle to find a more potent mix of elegance and raw, brute force than the Phenom GT.

This monster power comes courtesy of a 6.0L V8 Flatplane, equipped with a turbocharger. Undoubtedly an expensive and highly refined engine, the reliability reamins racecar level, as it manages to reach above 60,000 km for its MTBF value. The engine was specifically designed to fit into the Phenom GT’s engine bay. With this powerplant, there is no doubt that you will blow all rivals out of the water!

Sox Motors are rumoured to have another exciting project on the way soon, which should see the company release an alternative Phenom which is more suitable for those of us who are not willing to risk take-off on the highway! In the meantime, all criticism is accepted and requested, in order to continue refining the products of Sox Motors! Regarding any questions or data, don’t hesitate to PM me, I’d love to meet more of the community and possibly even strike up a few technical partnerships for future models

Definitely a well-balanced car, with aggressive styling that is not too over the top. Great job!

I love the elongated styling and the aggressive side vent and quad exhaust look. Truly an elegant supercar. Also decent handling at lower speeds, though I still find the significantly negative downforce with the wing remarkable… I fear that much of the lift actually results from no downforce at the front, potentially resulting in a rearward rake that tilts the body backwards, increasing lift. Even if the car doesn’t recreate the infamous flying Mercedes incident of '99, the handling at high speeds is going to be really vague! In a top speed run, even the slightest crosswind may result in a giant tankslapper and well, that might not end so well if the driver wasn’t skilled. I would still recommend a little downforce at the front to address that… You may also find this improves overall acceleration.

I notice this car is properly heavy at 1880kg, which puts it in the realm of Veyron type supercar. As such I notice it has fantastic safety and superior comfort, making its handling and speed and the mileage even more remarkable. It’s not the kind of car I’d build, but you can be sure it’s the kind of car many a wealthy middle eastern businessman would covet! (More so than my cars, which tend to be rather less comfortable!) Colour me impressed.

I like what you did with the triangle grille on the bonnet. It makes the car look very long, which I think adds to the car’s character a great deal. Well done!

Sox Motors, having received plenty of feedback concerning the top of the range Phenom GT, has decided to release a second, sport variant of the model. The Sox Phenom Sport

It contains the same 6.0L powerplant, though it appears this time in naturally aspirated form. This version of the Phenom is designed to cater for customers who are not only seeking the prestige of having an incredibly fast production car, but also those who are looking for a balance between racecar aggression while maintaining some aspects of a luxury grand tourer. In some ways, it is an improvement, such as the MTBF which has become over 70,000km! Likewise, responsiveness of the engine is now above 70, which is highly important when creating a purist’s car.

The engine has been optimised for N/A performance, pumping out a remarkable 700hp. Despite the decrease relative to its bigger brother, this version of the Phenom is designed to cater for a slightly different niche market. The Sport model is designed to appeal to more hardcore auto enthusiasts, who can still afford the opulence offered by the Phenom line.

In comparison to the GT, the Sport retains relatively high prestige and safety ratings, while increasing the sportiness. However, the numbers do not tell the whole story when it comes to this car’s racing credentials. Boasting a decrease of 300kg and perfect weight distribution, this car certainly carries much better driving dynamics than the Veyron-like GT. This weight shaving has been achieved despite Sox Motors choosing to retain advanced safety and entertainment, with the cabin crafted to luxury specifications. With RWD and no driving assists as standard, this car would truly be a menace to thrash around the track, and is certainly not for the faint of heart. In fact, the only reason that the sportiness value has not increased by more is due to the top speed, which has become “only” 340kph!

Stylistically, the Phenom Sport is slightly different from the GT. It boasts 4 side vents instead of 5, as well as no bonnet fixture near the windscreen. The largest change is in the slightly redesigned rear, which has become more curved and distinctive. Likewise, the quad exhausts have been reserved for the bigger model only, leaving the Sport model with a more reserved dual exhaust look. Despite the changes, the Phenom Sport model certainly conveys its character with great measure.

Customers will be glad to know that the downforce issue is gone! This allows the Phenom Sport to solidify its reputation as a truly refined track weapon, craved by many but tamed only by few.

Tough to control to say the least… That is the kind of car that eats drivers (and corners) fro breakfast. It is good to see that you added some downforce to the front, which also helped the handling slightly. I know that I am nit-picking here, but I think the quad exhausts looked much better. I can only imagine that there would be massive wheelspin when accelerating, even with those huge tires. Overall, I still really like the car!

An amazing looking car your produced there! I really liked the quad-exhaust, like Jakgoe said. Very decent agressive styling which isnt TOO much, but just the right amount.

I really liked the quad exhausts as well, but I wanted to keep it specifically premium, to be identified by the top range model only. I just felt that the flagship needed that little extra spice, which was unfortunately for the Sport model found in the exhausts.

I’m loving the F40 styling cues you’ve used, very clean and exotic. Nicely done! Are you picturing these as custom ordered, batched made limited run or full on production?

I think it would be produced in limited numbers, most probably built to custom order, similar to a Veyron (the most similar thing out there).

-“Hey I got a new Sox!”
-“You mean you got some new socks?”
-“No, I got a new Sox!”
-“Geez m8 your language is english and your grammar is that bad?”
-“Oi!”

I can see the things that might happen with this brand name

But joking aside they look fantastic.

please be on the lookout for Sox Socks in future

Thanks for the compliment anyway!

We are pleased to announce minor revisions to the Sox Phenom Sport, which bring down its maximum roll angle as well as bring the sportiness up!

A small amount of these changes also took place on the Phenom GT, reducing roll angle to 3 degrees, though these changes mean that the Phenom Sport is now officially rated as the sportier of the two!

Great designs!

Your Phenom is fantastic. It’s something relly special. The rear looks a bit like a F50 . Not my fav. car , but yours looks really nice at all , like i said before.
Keep up this great work. can’t wait for more
