Sports car power in a family estate. What’s not to like! Just… try not to wrap your family around a tree on the A15..?

Those last three designs of yours would be more at home in this thread, given that all of those are sedans or wagons, and not dedicated sports cars, but they still have enough performance to be competitive against contemporary class leaders.

That’s more of a pony/muscle car and would be better suited to the muscle/pony car thread, but it is still fast enough to challenge genuine sports cars and supercars in any environment.

Anyway, to keep this thread properly going, here’s the HPG HL1 1.6 S - 100 horsepower in a 750kg mid-engined wedge, good enough for 0-60 mph in 7.4 seconds and a top speed of 121 mph. But that’s not all: it’s light and small enough to feel very agile in the bends (which it is), without feeling too nervous or raucous.

I originally built this for AAM 1975, and this my very first time showing anything on the Discourse with a custom 3D fixture roof (specifically, the FER_GTO variant of the SHD 80s Euro Sport 3D roof fixture set) - I stuck it on top of the '69 Stratos-like body set because I thought it would look better than the stock turret.

(Side note: The 750kg curb weight was the result of using the heaviest possible setting for weight optimization, to simulate the fitment of equipment required for the Federalized version I submitted.)

In any case, it’s taking the Lotus Elise-like philosophy of simplifying and adding lightness to a mid-engined car, and applying it to something that debuted 20 years earlier (for reference, an actual Elise S1 in its most basic form has only 20 horsepower more and weighs only 25 kilograms less):
