Surprise Live Racing

(Strictly driving challenge on beamNG with automation cars)

The Event:

What:

a very quick impromptu multiplayer driving contest with automation cars supplied for the challenge.

Where:

beamMP, Automation Test Track

Route:

you'll find out a few hours before the race(it's not any time-trial btw)

When:

Saturday 24th at 19:00 UTC

Participation:

just dm me on discord and make sure beamMP is working for you
on the same DM, finish this sentence:

“Winthorpe Motors designs are…”

How we go about this:

- - One day before the race the one-liners will be published and will be voted for by the participants.(this will decide the starting grid and car choosing order) - On the day of the race(just before it, when everyone has joined the server), the cars and route will be announced. A beamMP server will be up(Winthorpe Motors Test Facilities) and a google folder will have all the cars that you SHOULD download before joining the server. - Come race day the starting grid/choosing order is revealed for the first leg and depending on the number of participants there will be 1 or 2 of the same car available per race leg. - For the 2nd leg, the winner gets bumped 3 positions down on the choosing order, the runner-up 2 positions and the 3rd only 1 position.

The Cars:

all cars will be provided by Winthorpe Motors
around 5 different cars will be available to choose from.

The Race:

Two legs(two routes) where you can choose a car for each leg(it can be the same car on both legs)
Each leg will take around 3.5 to 4 minutes

What You Need:

- - BeamMP client: https://beammp.com/ - Access to [this folder](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16_d95PQ0UkSTSlZyOWcnfFrVOPEtH-yJ) to download the cars when they're made available and copy them to the resources/client folder of your beamMP - Find me on the [Automation Beam Championship Discord](https://discord.gg/E663n3weak) so you can interact with the other participants and get more info about this race. Also it's there that you should DM me (pcmoreno) - The beamMP server will be public and the name is "Winthorpe Motors Test Facilities"
