The reliability ratings seem a bit arbitrary and ambiguous to me, so I was just wondering if we could get a rough ballpark on where a mass-production car/engine (something like a Civic or a Camry) should aiming for. 50? 100? Something else?
I use 70 or so as a benchmark for mass produced engines. Even reaching 80 is extremely hard without the use of quality sliders.
More specific high performance or race engines, you should be fine with 55-60. If running a race intake im pretty sure your reliability takes a big hit as well as service costs since there is no air filter.

i normally go for about a 50 on engine reliability, though if caused by being high revving i try not to go lower than 35, for car reliability, it doesn’t really matter as you can just give the car more cooling
