Hello,
I’ve recently started a curiosity with the automation program and I’m very interested in the test track feature in automation. I have a couple questions regarding the test track simulation.

  1. It might sound silly, but does the test track simulation push the car to its limits using the data of handling, acceleration, aerodynamics, etc.

  2. If yes, do professional racers use these models to test their cars?

  3. If yes, is there a name to these types of simulations?

  1. Yes it does, it does calculate / simulate acceleration, braking, cornering, and with that data builds the run on the track.

  2. Definitely not, it is a very simplified model we’re using that does not produce proper racing lines.
