Texture Issue with Lettering

More specifically, the texture issue actually occurs in BeamNG drive. Let me explain: when I use editable text/lettering mods on my cars in Automation, there only seems to be an issue once it’s exported to BeamNG. The first letter looks fine, and the rest show the ‘no texture’ texture in BeamNG. This only happens with font mods so far, but the one Automation font doesn’t fit nicely with all my builds. I’ll provide a picture to further demonstrate the issue. It’s hard to make my builds look great in BeamNG Drive when textures don’t port properly.

This is a known issue, and unfortunately quite a complex one where there is no one, simple solution. Some of the problem lies within BeamNG and it’s ability to handle textures, some of it is on our end too. We will be looking into this as workload permits, but don’t expect a quick or easy fix.

Thank you for this information MrChips. I suppose I will have to stick with the few vanilla fonts that work for now. It would be cool to see new Automation official fonts in the game at some point. It would also be cool to see colorable fonts/badges. Is it possible to see such a thing in the not-too-distant future?

That would require a pretty comprehensive redesign of the badging system, but it’s something we’d like to look into at some point, hopefully.
