TezukaTech Showroom

Welcome to TezukaTech. This company was founded in Japan in 1946 as part of the reconstruction efforts. It’s first car, the Kaifuku was designed to be simple and produced in large numbers:

The car was powered by a small 2L I4 engine putting out ~80hp

Though the car cost more than intended, it sold well enough to put a sport version into production.

In 1948, TezukaTech moved to America. Confronted with America’s “build it bigger” mentality, TT scaled up and updated the Kaifuku design. The new design, now sporting a shiny new I6, was dubbed the Constellation:

It is rumored that the name came about when a manager, frustrated that the proposed designs were too small, shouted into the studio “Just make it as big as the moon, is that so much to ask!”; sadly, no evidence has been found to support this.
