The 100K challenge!

You get 100K in Euros/Pounds/Dollars to stock your garage. You can have as many you want, new or used cars. The budget is the only limit. You can spend it on cars/upgrades, but make sure you post realistic prices to what you buy and tell us your list!

Mine:

Used Skyline R32 - approx. 10K for a decent one
put around 5K in upgrades to get to another 200hp on it and some interior/exterior tuning

Used Lancer Evo VI - approx. 8K for a decent one
put around 5K in it to clean parts up or exchange them. Leave it pretty standard.

Used Citroen Saxo 1.6 VTS for around 4K
Put in 4K in upgrades and tuning, just to have a hot hatch with around 200-250hp

Used Supra MkIV - Around 10K for a decent one
Slight standard tuning on it like exhaust system, rims and tires: approx. 2K

Used Mercedes CLS 55 AMG for around 25K

Used Audi S3 approx. 8K
spend 19K on upgrading that thing into a beast turbo time jaa! car with AWD

I do this all the time, LOL, and the list is constantly changing. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d keep my Lincoln Mark VIII, but add:

  • NX 150-shot of nitrous ($850)
  • Snow Performance Methanol Injection ($500)
  • Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials ($450)
  • Repaint trunk & hood ($800)
  • Other odds and ends LOL ($400)
  • People’s reaction to seeing an 11-second Lincoln (priceless)
    _______________________________ $3,000

2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack w/ 6-speed manual ($46,000) - stock
1987-1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe w/ 5-speed manual ($5,000) - stock
1989-1995 Ford Taurus SHO w/ 5-speed manual ($5,000) - stock
2007-2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG convertible ($30,000) - stock

edit as of December 13th, 2014:

My new list:

Keep the Mark VIII - and leave it alone.

  • 2010 Cadillac CTS-V 6-speed
  • 1989-95 Ford Taurus SHO 5-speed
  • 1999 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 30th Anniversary Edition 6-speed
  • 2004-06 Mercedes-Benz SL600 (+ extra for a RennTech ECU upgrade -or- the RennTech R1 Perf. Pack depending on how much the others cost)
  • 1990-95 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1
  • 1987-88 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe 5-speed

1987 buick grand national turbo ~$30,000
1970 datsun 240z ~ $15, 000
1994 Nissan sentra ser ~$ 8, 000
2004 subaru wrx sti ~ $20, 000
30’s Ford flathead ratrod $14, 000
The remaining money would go to fixing and modding my current 2 cars. The Toyota could easily suck up 8000 in suspension body and paint work, then another 5000 dropping a big port 4age with ITB’s and a lsd into it. The Tiburon also could do with 5000 in new suspension, a lsd, and headers.

This is always fun to do!

[ul]]New exhaust system for the S600. ($4,000)/:m]
]Twin turbos and AWD for the GT3000, I always wanted a VR-4. ($8,000)/:m][/ul]

[ul]]1995 Mazda MX-5. ($6,000)/:m]
]BMW E30 M3. ($20,000). Perhaps I will want to upgrade that, let’s set ($3,000) to the side./:m]
]Old, offroad modded Jeep. ($11,000)/:m]
]2009 Cadillac CTS-V Wagon with Lingenfelter 700hp supercharger upgrade. ($40,000)/:m][/ul]

I’ll keep the last ($7,000) to mess around with the cars a bit. Or to get a garage with 6 spaces.

2014 Lotus Exige S V6 (about 80,000$ i guess)
2006 BMW 325i (about 10,000$)
Keep my Golf Diesel but put in an Audi 3.0 TDi engine with the 2 turbos (engine + work time will be about 7,500$ i guess, new transmission and tires will take the rest). Why would i do this? Just so i can drive up to some guy who thinks he’s got a hot car (like a Subaru WRX or something) and then smoke him in what’s technically a Golf Diesel.

Triumph Stag 3.0: €13.000
Citroen Sm injection electronique: €12.000
Citroen Cx 2.5 GTi Turbo: €5.950
Citroen Ds 23 Injection Pallas: €2.300 (in pretty awful condition i think :/)
Mercedes 600 W100 6.3: €59.950 (the grosser )

And the left over ~ €7000 is for repairing the cars.

I got 2 Options:

Option 1:
used Tesla Model S 81K click
private charging station: 19K

Option 2:
used Opel Commodore GS/E 2.8 10K click
used Opel Calibra 16V Turbo 4x4 6K click
used Opel Inignia ST 4x4 OPC 20K click
used (old / original / the real!!!) Mini Cooper with Hayabusa Engine 35K click
used Yamaha MT01 6,5K click
used Volvo V70 R 10K click
used Chevrolet Camaro (end 70s) 11K click

Remaining 1,5K is for fuel

1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 30 000
1989 Subaru GL Wagon 2 500
2000’s Ford Crown Victoria P71 10 000
2004 Volvo V70R about 20 000
1988 Toyota 4Runner SR5 5 000
1994 Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo

Still got 14500 left. for fixes, and stuff.

Option 2:

Find an early 80’s Impala wagon, drop a LS3 in it.

Finally build my Exocet kit car, plus KW Coilovers, semi slicks, big brakes + proper turbo setup for 240kw, or twin turbo KL 2.5 V6: Approx $20k
Swap a 2.5 V6 into the Lantis + mods to turn it into a full on gravel rally car: $10K

And for daily drivers either.

Wait for a used Tesla P85D (the 700hp AWD one) to drop down to affordabilty: $70k

OR

Used Mercedes S65 AMG ~$40k, and Mark V Golf GTI ~$20k

Mercedes 600 W100 6.3: €59.950 (the grosser )
Now I’d start to feel so inferior!

Hahahaha

Ok, so I thought I did this yesterday, but my post didn’t work somehow, so I’ll just do another (more simplified) one.

Nissan 200SX S14 - £8,000 for a good one
LOTS OF MODS (because JDM) - £10,000?

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI (I like old better than new Evos) - £8,000
A couple mods, not too mad - £3,000

2015 Mustang with 50 Years Appearance Pack and GT Track Pack - £30,000 (Cheaper than I expected after pricing it up on the website)

2009-2014 Volkswagen Scirocco R (With many extras) - £38,500

I love doing this, but I’d never put any proper thought into it.

Nissan Skyline R33 GTR
BMW Z3 M
Posche 993 911
Subaru impreza wrx sti saloon 2010

Those would be my choice.
