What once upon a time was the Bavarian Rallye Challenge has now become the Bavarian RACING Challenge. And with “RACING” I mean “RACING”. Direct Competition. Fighting for Position. Epic crashes. Tragic failures. Worn out tyres. Empty fuel tanks. Each race a unique story.


I ported the Automation acceleration, braking and cornering calculations to MATLAB, automated the aquiration of car parameters and reworked the test track calculations. Now the calculations are not static and done before the lap anymore - they are dynamically done on the way around the track. And when the driver reaches the end of the lap, he will do another one! Probably with a different lap time because he makes smaller and bigger errors. And if there’s another car in his vicinity, he will even react to it!

Further ideas? Programming is still in progress, so things can be considered (if technically possible and not too much work). I currently finished all the technical issues and can promise that things will happen, but major parts of the AI and of the Race Weekend are still on the to-do-list. So don’t expect a challenge within the next month. :slight_smile: I’m looking forward to your input!

O.O You sir are insane and I LOVE IT!! Does the tire wear take into account the various tires as well? Even when there is a combination of tires in the competition?

Tyre wear is not yet implemented, but yes, it is planned to make different compounds behave differently over time. Difficult to drive and powerful cars will wear them faster, too.

That… that’s truly impressive… You deserve to be called Der Bayer von Awesome! Like in the BSLL! Seishido is ready for this! (Except if the driver turns the car into a fireball and dies)

Can be also taken into acount that powerfull and stressful car to drive could increase the fatigue of the driver and tire him/her quicker? So on the long run the performance of the driver too will be reduced a bit.

I’ve got a couple questions. Is there Drafting, Multiple car crashes, cars effected after the crashes, and cautions?

How is the track calculated? Do you know how it actually works in game? I ask so I can make my track editor more accurate.

This feature is a final release MUST have… finally a way to possibly add a race team management part to the tycoon aspect of the game, and simulate races. This should not go unnoticed by the devs. This is awesome! :smiley:
