1982 ARMOR ANVIL MESA
"Those who don’t forge ahead get left behind."
All-terrain 4x4 capability with excellent load and towing capacity, courtesy of a durable OHV straight-six with EFI, starting from just $15,000.
Originally released in 1978 as GMI’s answer to the Ford Bronco and Chevrolet K5 Blazer the Friesan had the small - offroader market targetted. With all models using the 4.5L V6 to save money the engineers and designers were able to focus on other key, more superior featrures, like the Coil sprung axels, advanced Shift-tek gen 2 automatic tranmissions and more comforting seats and interior.
The offered Frontier edition is from last years model line-up but with our dealers trying to shift stock to make way for the newer EFI-models this is one of the last carburetted Friesians available. The frontier package offers the following:
Mandatory Van Entry™
Wait, Madrias entered a van too, nevermind
Yeah, I knew this round would be full of trucks. I know I won’t win, but I’m having fun. If it wasn’t for the requirement of 4x4, I might have been tempted to send in the Bricksley Nemean minivan… But that’s T-FWD (or T-AWD when it becomes available), and I struggled to fit an inline six in there sideways.

Specialized for off-roading in the harshest conditions, but comfortable enough to make those conditions feel like home. Equipped with a removable insulated canvas top, two spare tires, dealer modified custom 17" off-road wheels, fog lights, and a manual locker; everything you need to hit the trail. The LX trim features a luxurious premium interior with an 8-track, a digital display, a digital clock, and a signature B-Netz car phone (which may or may not actually work in Canada), as well as a 3-speed slush automatic transmission and a brand-new EFI-equipped 2.3L inline 4. Despite all of our modern technology, the GS 82 is built to the exact same high standards you’ve come to expect from Mercas-Boretti, and is built damn near simple enough that you can repair the GS 82 yourself with a couple of minutes and a wrench.
P.S. it can comfortably carry another GS 82 in the bed - just in case you want two.
Featuring an electronically-controlled carburetor, a 271 cubic inch straight 6 engine, four-wheel drive and distinctive retro styling, it can go many places, and go many places in style.
Still “tweaking it”. Realized a fatal flaw about an hour after posting
1980 Eagle Emporium.
Straight from the Scottish Highlands to your own backyard. New models starting at 15,500 USD.
I think that refers to its load capacity being at least equal to its own weight.

Perhaps the first Kaizen model besides the Kaizen S series, the Kaizen Terravis, or “Earth-Force,” has always been Kaizen Corporation’s off-road and recreational oriented vehicle. Descended from WWII vehicles used by the Empire of Japan’s armed during WWII and helping to rebuild post-war Japan and serving as the backbone of Kaizen’s recovery during the 50s, the current generation, introduced in 1981, continues the proud legacy of the relentless march of continued, evolutionary progress. It is the essence of Kaizen Corporation distilled into its purest form.
The Terravis has always proudly served organizations ranging from the Japan Self-Defense Forces, the United States Military, the United Nations, and countless scientific and historic expeditions around the world. The Terravis also brings that go-anywhere spirit to the civilian market, where it has proven indispensable to many and has gained a dedicated and loyal following.
While many luxury-oriented trims have been produced, it is the professional and military oriented “origin” trims that adhere the closest to what the Terravis was envisioned for. This generation’s origin trims forge with solid coil axles all around, in lieu of the normal trim’s double wishbone IFS and solid coil rear axle. Origin trims get a significantly simplified interior that emphasizes straightforward functionality, with features such as manual sliding windows and an optional rear seat. Origin trims also have the off-road package standard (normally optional), with front bumper bars, rear light guards, skidplate, off-road tires on 15 inch steel 6 lug wheels, a suspension raise, uprated brakes, selectable four-wheel drive with manual front and rear lockers, and an integrated winch. Origin trims are available with the simplified 4-speed manual and 3-speed automatic. Origin trims are available with four engines, a 4.5L VIS3 OHV inline-6 and a 6.0L VIS3.5 OHV V8, with 2 barrel carburetors or a single point EFI system.

Angus is back with a new civilian version of its latest 1 1/2 ton military truck. While the HT150 and HT300 have been on the market since 1979, the HT300 SE Ranger is a trail and wilderness edition based on the military MT300 supplied to the Canadian military and the US as part of the CUCV program.
Compared to the standard HT300, the SE Ranger has +1 size 16in wheels with slimmer 205mm tires, a straight-6 heavy duty 258 ML carbureted engine at 7.5:1 compression producing 184 lb-ft @ 1400rpm and 121 horsepower, a 4x4 transfer case and 3-speed automatic with offroad low gearing and overdrive, a coil suspension in the front, a raised stance of 472mm (compliant with 1982 US bumper regulation) with a door step and step number behind for easier access, large 235mm vented disc brake at the front, drums at the rear and highly resistant semi-metallic pads, an offroad skidtray, a basic 8-track and radio, a polished easy-wash steel bed, an all chrome two-tone exterior (Forest Green and Powder White shown), removable metal sides and a more rugged exterior.
It does keep the reliability and low maintenance that the HT series is known for, the bench seat, galvanized chassis, heady duty hard all-terrain tires, power steering, progressive springs and leaf suspensions at the rear, incredible load capacity with it’s high walls but short bed, and great towing compared to the competition.
This SE Ranger edition is made with one goal in mind - to conquer the North American wilderness. You will be truly at home on the trail, in the Rockies or the boreal forest. Starting at $6,500 ($15,500 in 2012).
