The Car Shopping Round (Round 64): Tears in Heaven

I am starting to wonder if I have the highest off road stat aside from the one with the ladder frame and solid rear axle which only beats mine by 1. I am sure one of the AWD models has to beat it.

I never said they were standard.
(laughs in evil)
Edited to erase any future confusion nontheless

Mine has higher offroad. How? I won’t say.

A ride height of 350mm?

No actually, almost exactly at 200mm

1998 Maesima NV-997 GTz

The 1998 Maesima NV-997 is a midsize car which was manufactured by Maesima from 1997 to 2004. The sedan, liftback and wagon models were released in May 1997, they were produced in Anikatia at the main factory facilities in Namju. The NV-997 would go on to become the first generation of the Avellca nameplate in 2002 following the collapse of the socialist regime in Anikatia.

The Maesima Avellca (NV-997 Series II) sedan, liftback and wagon models were released in July 2002, featuring a revised look with new front fascia, tail treatments in addition to mechanical changes including revised transmission ratios and further refinements to the ride and handling.

The front-wheel drive NV-997 replaced the outgoing NV-993 and was powered by either a 2.0 litre four-cylinder petrol MC-LH19 engine with single overhead cams and four valves per cylinder of the MCL series producing 101 kW (137 hp) and 175 Nm (129 ft lbs).

The higher grades were offered with a 2.6 litre V6 petrol MC-FG26EL engine with double overhead cams and four valves per cylinder producing 113 kW (152 hp) and 217 Nm (160 ft lbs), from the well-proven MCF-engine series also found on the NR/Exestis, NRZ-996 and NL-992 vehicles. The transmission options consisted of a four-speed automatic and five-speed manual units. Furthermore, the NV-997 range in Europe consisted of the GX, GXz, GT and GTz trims.

All models were offered with competitive warranties and servicing deals but the NV-997 struggled against the established brands. But for those that wanted a practical, affordable and somewhat sporty sedan the NV-997 provided. Its sales numbers didn’t really pick up until 2002 with a reduction in pricing, revised styling and new Avellca nameplate that allowed the vehicle to carve a niche in the European market.

Along with the NV-998/Prova, Maesima was able to move towards the mainstream and helped sustain the company during the difficult times following the economic hardships within Anikatia amidst the Asian Financial Crisis and political upheaval taking place.

1998 Pragata Kana

1998 Pragata Kana(basic trim ver.) is a rear wheeldrive entry premium sedan that focused on more on comfort, safety, and fuel efficiency than performance. Powered by 3.2l Inline 6 with single turbocharger setup which manage to produce 175HP and 328Nm Torque, even with 4 speed automatic transmission it still able to reach at least 30++MPG on fuel millage.

even though it has open diff for base trim, the drive assist is same as the higher trim and 4 brake disc setup to maximize driving experience. Other things that differentiate the base trim to other trim is that the interior is only have dual front speaker instead 4 speaker in front and rear seat but otherwise all is the same.

I’m waiting out until tomorrow to post my stats

Ok guys, it’s been that long since I’ve made a car for a competition, forget any previous Peniston lore or anything. Never intended it to become an actual thing, so I need some re-organisation. That said, may I present to you, the Peniston Seventy-Five, presented here in it’s mid-spec, the Supreme 2.0 V6 Auto.

1998 Press release photo

Launched for the 1998 model year, the Seventy Five is the fruit of 5 years of dedicated development work at the Peniston design and engineering centre. Featuring unmistakably classic British styling on the exterior and a luxuriously trimmed and finished interior, the Seventy Five provides the striking image that has come to be known from Peniston.

At launch the Seventy Five will be available in 3 specification tiers; Tradition, Supreme, and Aficionado.

  • Tradition offers all of the comfort and sophistication of the Seventy Five, with a pricetag that will be appreciated by the discerning buyer. Standard features include a 6 speaker CD Audio system, real wood dash and air conditioning.

  • Supreme specification is available for those buyers looking to add a little elegance and convenience to their driving experience. With standard 16" alloy wheels, automatic climate control, a chrome garnish pack, metallic paint and an 8 speaker CD Radio cassette system, the Supreme certainly lives up to it’s name.

  • Aficionado specification is available for buyers that want their vehicle to possess the utmost luxury. With standard piped leather seating with embossed Peniston logos, automatic rear blinds, 12 speaker Audio system with subwoofer and Television, Aficionado specification cars are built to ensure that any buyer can truly appreciate the pinnacle of Peniston engineering.

At launch, two engine families are available, and are optional across all specifications.

  • Peniston’s venerable 1.8 Inline-4 engine begins the lineup. Retuned for increased low end torque and cruising fuel efficiency, the lightweight unit promises frugal running costs and strong performance.

  • An all new re-designed all aluminium V6 is available with the Seventy Five, in either 2.0L or 2.5L capacities. Both variants are lightweight and are constructed using the latest engineering methods, resulting in a technologically advanced engine that offers outstanding performance and economy statistics, along with outstanding smoothness and power delivery characteristics. Company car buyers will also find the low emissions output of the V6 an attracting proposition. Both 2.0 and 2.5 variants are available with a 5 speed manual, or newly developed 5 speed automatic for those buyers who prefer to waft along effortlessly.

A Driver Assistance pack is available as an option on all specifications, including automatic headlights and wipers, trip computer, front fog lights and headlight washers (shown above).

Safety is also of prime concern, with all specifications featuring a new advanced multilink suspension setup to ensure composed, comfortable progress on all road surfaces, along with 4 wheel sensing ABS and speed sensitive power steering to make certain you are always in control.

Elegance. Grace. Comfort. Unmistakable Luxury. The Peniston Seventy Five. With prices starting from just 18995, contact your local Peniston dealer now.

BONUS: And don’t just take out word for it - see what top motoring journalists had to say at this year’s British Motor Show.

(I was well pleased I found a clip where he mentioned the price :stuck_out_tongue:)

Just for clarity’s sake, the car in the pictures is the one I’m submitting (Supreme 2.0 V6 auto) and is 19500 exactly in the markets tab. I ended up going a lot further than just the Rover 75 inspired thing I wanted to make, but I quite enjoyed doing it so thought I’d do the write up and motor show videos. Stats are below, probably tried to stay too close to my inspiration but not to worry.

By the time the BRC gets to the correct era to use it, who knows what livery might be plastered down the sides.

Are we releasing our stats? Ok, let’s go

So yeah, not really that much of an S6, as I didn’t tune the suspension properly :stuck_out_tongue: Oh, and about the performance - 262 km/h and 6.2s to 100.
