I’d assume so, since utility is so important, as is being able to carry a lot of equipment.
That’s correct, but cargo space is far from the only factor. It doesn’t matter how big the space is if there’s not enough power to pull it. And it doesn’t matter how powerful it is if I can’t pay for the gas
Welcome to Solo Motors Co., we have a large selection of certified used cars for you to choose from. Based on your needs and preferences, we believe this lightly used 2008 Solo Brute CM will be ideal for you and your business.
This one could be yours for $19800 and is in excellent condition, being a single owner truck with only 42800 miles on it. but rest assured that its excellent reliability will allow it to travel many more. The free warranty we offer on our certified used cars should keep you at ease about this purchase.
Now on to the features! The CM designation mean this trim was designed for commercial buyers, using more rugged and durable materials than the typical consumer trims, so it should be better suited for your business. It’s in a body-on-frame SUV using a lightweight AHS steel frame and a combination of steel and aluminum panels. Take a look at the underbody, there is no rust at all. You can also see that it’s fully clad, part of being a commercial vehicle, allowing for better economy. The front MacPherson struts and solid rear axel with coils are perfect for less than ideal roads and to carry heavy loads. Hard tires and steel rims also help the offroad capabilities, as does the manual locker and nearly 14 inches of ride height.
The engine used is a 3.3L turbocharged I6 producing 214 hp at 5100 rpm and 283 ft-lb at 2200 rpm is perfect for a working truck while having the excellent economy that 8 cylinders, or even naturally aspirated 6 cylinders, can’t hope to reach. While it weighs just over 2 tons and is far from being considered aerodynamic, it achieves just about 30 mpg. Yeah, a full size SUV getting 30 mpg, and no, we did not use black magic in the engine bay. Proper engine tuning and that fully clad underbody are what make this possible, as well as the use of lightweight materials where possible. It still achieves 0-62 mph in 10.3 seconds and has a top speed well over 120 mph, but we doubt you’ll ever need to drive so fast.
Moving on to the interior, you’ll find a huge cargo area as this model does not have a third row of seats. The materials and safety features used are all standard, with a basic stereo, all allowing for a comfortable and practical interior for a low price. The 40/20/40 split folding rear seat folds flat and allow many configurations for cargo and passengers.
You made it clear that you wanted something tough, rugged, practical, and 'Murican, and while we are a Canadian company, we think a large commercial-oriented SUV with surprisingly good economy is just what you need for your small business.
the big pickup body is so very nice the it’s so freaking expensiveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
on the other hand i have a rather very nice van with the only downside being it can only have 3 seats…
decisions decisions
If no one objects, I will enact the 20% bonus to monocoque and spaceframe chassis.
@koolkei as I said, most of the time it will only be me in the car, so I don’t need a ton of seats. But more seats would be nice, if I want to take my family or some friends around.
I’m getting a lot of interesting and creative combinations. Keep it up guys!
It seems strange that having 7 seats really takes its toll on utlity when in reality the seats would be folding/removable
I agree with you, but it does make some sense. Folding seats are great, but if I’m putting lots of cargo in every day they won’t be as good as a hard, flat bed. And I’d rather not have to deal with removable seats, better to just not pay for them in the first place
I see your point because if you do carry heavy equipment i guess you could find the seats getting kind of crushed, it was quite hard to decide weather I wanted my entry to have good seating capacity or to just have good cargo capacity and I am starting to feel that I maybe went for the wrong choice
Today we have for sale a special American Eagle Automotive truck for you.
##The Delux D-100 Restomod
This fine truck was originally a 1956 D-100 that started life out as a bare-bones pickup truck. It was a slightly odd design for its time, as there were very few “crew-cab” or “extended cab” styled trucks. Then American Eagle Automotive released the new D-100 truck to mixed praise. Most felt it looked funny with the extra space behind the drivers, but as time went on, that space became a favorite for miscellaneous junk that a hard working person had on them. It was not very useful unless someone swapped the original bench seat for buckets to make access behind the seats easier.
Well, this one was found in a barn in 2003 by an executive at American Eagle Automotive. That person had it restored with updates in 2005. Those updates included stuff like:
- A nice SatNav system
- 18" American Racing Torque Thrust Rims with modern tires
- Aftermarket Disc Brakes front and rear
- Aftermarket Shocks and springs (though they retained the original suspension type- leaf sprung solid axle rear and McPherson strut front)
- New 4 speed auto w/Overdrive and Viscus LSD
- Leather Bench Seat
- Power Steering
And an engine swap for an odd 327ci V8. I’m not sure where the engine is from, all I know is that it is a SOHC 3v design with Variable Valve Timing. There is no documentation on it. Either way it is dyno’d at 300hp at 6,200 rpm and 330 ft lbs of torque at 3,200 rpm.
This truck was repainted white, which makes it very easy to add your company logo and information on the side. Not only paint, but a vintage truck or car makes every small business look much more successful than any new car or truck can. You see, when the American public sees a vintage 1940-50s truck with a business logo in it, they automatically associate extra experience with it. It is psychologically proven!*
##So pick up this truck today! For the low price of only $19,920
######*Sales pitch, may not be exactly accurate, but is generally true. IRL a business looks much better when using a vintage truck rather than a brand new one. For a real life example, check out Spire Credit Union.
ladies and gentlemen
this is the LVC - spacer
This good looking truck not only has seats for 5. it also has a big boot, that is big enough a compact car can fit inside, which we tested of course.
automatic gearbox makes your life easier, by not needing to shift gears. and a manual locker, which should have been automatic
Thanks to leaf springs, AWD system, you can go anywhere with it and still carry heavy items
we care about the car not breaking down, we made sure the engine and the body are reliable as possible
engine: around 70
average reliability: around 70
now you ask yourself what engine did we fit inside,
4 cylinder ? NO!
6 cylinder ? NOPE!
it must a V8, cuz pickup truck? WRONG!
ladies and gentlemen, instead of using the traditional v8, we put in a V12 instead, bc why not
a 4 liter V12, making 317 HP. it could have been much more, but we want it to be fuel efficient and reliable
^^^^This reminds me of ford econo vans (I think) v10 and supercharged in a delivery van and yet the engine was not used in the gt supercar hmmmmm
I don’t believe any of them were supercharged, but you’re right. A 6.8 liter V10 in the vans and trucks.
you are right I thought i had seen a factory blower option but it was for the 5.4 triton
That one was used in the Ford GT, as well as in the Shelby GT500 Mustang and the F-150 Lightning.
no it was used in the triton the gt had its own all alloy engine with different 4 valve heads, the gt500 used a iron block with the gt heads the triton had 3 valves and was originally used in the ford falcon g220
You’re thinking of the Ford F-150 SVT Lightning.
That engine never made it into anything standard duty, just the SVT trucks.
It sure has been awhile.
Any preference transmission wise? Automatic?
Also, how big is the family?
i used an automatic gearbox, because murica and pickup
I don’t want to get too specific now out of fairness to those who have submitted. Choose what you think is logical
I think I can say that I’m fine with any transmission though.
I based mine off a Crown Vic so it’s a slushbox.
