The Car Shopping Round (Round 64): Tears in Heaven

when you’re using a big magnesium block, amazing how 0.05L can amount to a difference of $400 in price.

but hey. 2:01:42 in ATT on a 2237kgs saloon

Although my car is >2 seconds slower on the ATT it should be more effective on tighter, more technical tracks like the Airfield Track due to its lighter weight.

so people, how you guys manage to get 70 avg reliabilty while you already maxed all quality slider?

my engine already manage to pass minimum requirement but my average stuck on 67.x

here’s a car i won’t be submitting. it has almost every stats at least similiar if not better. than my saloon

Make sure you’ve got the required cooling for the engine, and it shouldn’t be too hard after that.

This minimum 200mph top speed is making it tough for me to tune the aero as my car barely has enough power(432hp currently) to reach 200.

i got more than enough, raising even further doesnt even help

Use only the best materials
Also, If you plan your engine to Rev up high, go with a over square design, if you’re planning on not revving that high (below 7,500) use square or undersquare design.

rise the key points slider

on engine:
fuel system
bottom end
top end

on model:
rise the fixtures slider
and the body type slider

and to rise the env resistance, rise the chassis tab slider.

I had no problems with those once I figured out how to do it.

changing engine design doesnt help too, stats not even moving

rising fixture and body slider help a little bit, but still not even reaching 70

All it took for me was increasing the quality of the body, chassis and fixtures, as well as the engine components. And I was still under budget.:joy:

welp manage to pass it but overbudget.

i gonna retry to make different car and see if i get same issue

Redesigned Ventnor Gambini due to unforeseen cooling requirement change.

@BobLoblaw gave his car a face, and it’s not bad at all. Shame about the dull color…

What’s wrong with the color? It’s shiny.

I prefer something far brighter, like lime green or tangerine orange. Greyish green is not commonly seen on actual supercars because it doesn’t help them stand out from the crowd. I actually considered making my car bright blue just like @HighOctaneLove before I realized it would look even better in white, and also to avoid confusion - the human eye perceives white as a bright, brilliant color.

Try a single clutch gearbox, double clutch cost me 2.6 reliability points and using normal manual gave me 1 more point.
