The difference between CR Steel and Galvanized Steel?

CR Steel is stainless steel AFAIK.

Galvanized is zinc plated.

I don’t think CR Steel is the same as Stainless, only one car maker has made the entire body out of Stainless Steel: DMC, Delorean.

So why would they have put that in the game?

CR Steel is a general term for all corrosion resistant steels, so basically all reasonably modern steel used in basic car construction. The rust resistance is baked into the material itself instead of just at the surface like with galvanized steel.

See Rob’s answer from a year ago, there’s like no point unless you’re a DMC die-hard. Of which I’m sure we could do without an extra option cluttering up the UI that makes very little difference to gameplay.

Stainless would probably cost 2-3 times more than standard. For no real gain.
