The Grand Tourer: 1971 (User Voting/Market Results)

The competition is officially open.

Is anyone else running into this problem?

uh yeah. unfortunately or maybe fortunately the year 1971 is one of the most optimal year for a hyper car

Indeed, same thing happening here. Both cars that I’ve made within regulations (one purpose built and the other a new trim of my company’s flagships) had very green and pleasantly (perhaps stupidly) high numbers in that corner (and Utility Sport luxury). Even without a V12 its not difficult to make the greatest thing since sliced bread, apparently.

As i’ve said, my market system will look VERY different from yours. I spent a few days building test cars, and having some built for me by others.

The default set of competition cars only gives you 1 competitor. The set I’ve made gives you 24, ranging from bad to great.

Does anyone have a clue what am I doing wrong because every 1971 car I want to build has max 165 tyres?

You need rims of 14-15 inch and a lot of tire sidewall size

I hoped there is a way around that  Thanks!

You can add quality to the tires to unlock lower profiles

Nice
Btw I got emissions: inf —> well that escalated quickly

I have no clue how expensive should I go but it is fun

Emissions inf. is because you’re using leaded petrol, which means you can’t use a catalytic converter either. The emissions from leaded petrol is well, different, and I suppose in simple terms, “stupid high”.

Certainly I was inspired by the likes of the Lambo Miura for this challenge, and, like Zab’s Hypercar challenge, I’ll be making something that goes stupid fast but also pretty much maxes out the competitiveness score. It might even look pretty good this time around too, lol.

p.s. submitted! Quite pleased with this one. Engine size limitations did kind of reduce my power quite a bit, so it’s not as fast (top speed) as a Miura, but it’ll certain go around the track with speed and style. And it has a fairly ridiculous market score, too.

4 Entries so far, and they all look so nice I must say.

Entry submitted. An American(ized) GT? Hogwash! Americans can’t compete with the Euro GTs!! (they’re probably right, at least concerning mine)

I submitted my entry, i am not so sure if the stats are competitive enough, but at least i am satisfied with looks

At least your car won’t be the only one with pushrod this time.

Huzzaaah!!!

Not alone at all, My entry is now in with 24 glorious pushrods powering it.

I present you, the Ponni P570 GT. My goal’s to compete in the cheapest section of the Premium GT market. It’s by no means a super luxurious car, but I’m sure it can keep up with the other, more expensive vehicles.

This is exciting, I have a 8 entries waiting for me and my Inbox when I get home tonight.

I’m interested to see how my car will do. I went big ol’ American land barge and dropped an absolutely immense V12 in there, tuned it as lean as possible to hit the MPG requirement, and then just added gobs of luxury and quality sliders and such until my GT-P score was as green as freshly watered grass on a bright spring day.
