I’ve submitted the 200 series, great car but will it be good enough…?
I don’t know why, but trying to load the final cars the game is crashing in the free mode, with this message and only some cars appear
Family? Sounds like someone submitted a beta release car in here by mistake.
Remove each car one at a time to find the one causing it then tell them to resubmit with a public release file, then yell at them for teasing us. ;p

Yes, was AshleyBlack’s car, now i can load again.
Don’t worry for the latest entries, i’m a bit busy and didn’t say anything, but i will take all the cars before this midnight.
All the cars showed at first post, working on the Magazine hehe.
You made one small mistake about my car, it’s 4WD, not FWD.
There is no way to fit an I6 transaxle in the not-golf.
So you did get my car to work? I noticed it in the first post.
Sorry for the trouble

Yes, it’s fine for the magazine hehe
Ashley don’t worry, your car is working
The magazine will get me busy many time, i think that for this next weekend could be finished.
To do the waiting more bearable, i’ll give you a sample of what i’m doing. The final versión will be a PDF.
Well, looking at those stats, my car is definitely going to come last… That NMC Lynx is quicker, faster, more powerful and has similar olde worlde charm; plus it’s 2k cheaper to buy! At least in Moldova we put a 100% tariff on automotive imports to ensure that Bogliq won’t sink under the weight of it’s own mediocrity!
Well, wouldn’t be surprised if I end up with the best performance/$.
Will obviously depends on the nurburgring times.
And lets hope that the price makes up for the fuel consumption. If I knew everyone was gonna build stuff near the price limit I would have paid that 700$ for direct injection.
I just took a car out of my 200 range, took out the basic 65hp 900cc engine (900cc up to 108hp turbo version available), en threw it away…next I putted the 1.6 turbo 200 BHP in…de 200GT was born, (just like any other hot hatch) then i saw this challenge and thought hey let’s make it a contender…sow i tweaked the GT a bit and submitted it as the Nurburgring edition…but boy have I been wrong…i wonder how it will keep up between all that near 300hp violence
my car was initially developed as a light and nimble city car
This looks great, I should have taken more time to do it, instead of giving up after not getting no-where close to the limits.
Did a quick test by switching to DI.
With just this and adjustements to AF, timing and compression, I gain .1 second on the 0-100, and I end up with the second most economical car at 5.07l/100.
All of this for about 700$ and 8kg more.
There’s a clear lesson from those stats: rightsize, don’t downsize! My economy and power could be much better if I didn’t have such a small engine.
I couldn’t fit any larger an engine transversely however, as the body I picked is pretty narrow. In fact I ended up with a Mitsubishi Colt block (one of the cars that inspired my design). But I did put in double wishbone fronts muahahaha, and the tyres are pretty beefed up, so let’s see how it does around the track!
This is shaping-up to be an interesting competition.
It’s interesting to see the different paths we’ve taken to meet out goals. We’ve got 4’s, 6’s and 8’s - FF, FR, AWD and MR, Turbo’s and NAs, a really good spectrum of designs.
My lap time is pretty bad, I’m hoping all of the other stats I have on-paper should get a decent score though. Seems a lot of people abandoned the fuel economy target in favour of the other stats.
Good competition ViruTypeR, looking forward to your next update
(Also on the picture you posted you listed mine as being turbo, it isn’t)
Oh a mistake hehe problem of the copy-paste. The final scoring with the system used will be curious for you. Some cars are very penalized because of passing the limits. The Bogliq has very little space for the people, and the cars not using direct injection lost many points in consumption and emissions.

True, actually drove a FIAT panda twinair…an economical car but with motorway traffic driving the maximum speed of 120, 130 km/h it strugles to get the economy below 7L/100km…my 17 yr old Astra 1.6 does around the same, but than I don’t have to drive it with a heavy foot to achieve the same speed resulting it to reach the same level of economy…and when I have to squeeze it in between two cars it has the power to accelerate fast enough to without bothering other motorists. In the Panda you have to anticipate more to preventing get stuck behind a lorry…
Old cars, not so bad after all…
I’m not dissappeared lol, but very very busy, don’t worry, i will finish this in a week or so.
