Hint: in 1980 it was the fastest “X” car in the world, where “X” referred in some way to its powertrain. Bonus hint: 6 cylinders (but I won’t tell you if “X” refers to that or sth else )

I fail to see how that fits literally any of the hints except the 70s/80s one, so, no, not really
