1992 EMR EX8L

A total rework of one of my LRC entries, now based on the '92 Evade (2.26m wheelbase) instead of the '91 Vendetta.

An all-alloy engine and aluminum body/chassis help keep the weight down to just 1015kg, with 350bhp pushing it along.

Such immense power in a small, light package yields astounding performance (185mph top speed, 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds) that helps it punch far above its weight.

If the EX8 didn’t have to conform to the rules of the challenge for which it was originally designed, this would’ve been the result.

Don’t be fooled by its plush interior and premium CD/cassette stereo system - this is still a raw, hard-edged beast that was born to thrill.

It’s still a 2-seater, of course, but the roof is now hidden under a rigid panel when not in use. And of course, the L stands for Lightweight.
