The Rice Bowl (Results In and Challenge Over)

You just got your license and it is time to buy a first car! Dad gave you $5000 for something and told you to not be an idiot with it. That is exactly what you are going to do! it’s tuning time!

You go to the local used dealer to see what they got cheap. The salesperson gives you these five cars as budget choices.

Car 1: 1992 Himatchi Citi S

The salesperson says “This may be on the older side of our selection but is perfect for you because of it’s lightweight frame and versatile engine. The 1.6L I4 has tons of options on how to make it into your dream cruiser. it is also on of the most budget friendly coming in at only $1800 with tax!”

Car 2: 1998 Ringauto F 4

He then says to you “Don’t let those puffy seats and wood trim fool you! This car can pack a punch with it’s 3.0L V6 and Quadtrac AWD system. It is not turbocharged so just imagine what you can do with this car when you modify it! Just imagine cruising down the Autobahn in your German roadster. of course this car comes at a price for all it offers and that is a higher $2300 but it is all worth it!”

Car 3: 1996 Bull 3500 Ultraduty

You go to the next car… Truck… Yeah, it’s certainly a truck. He then says to you “This is the Bull 3500 Ultraduty! it’s massive 7.2l V8 can pull anything and get your job done but you need a tuning car so why did I bring you here? This truck has the potential to produce massive amounts of power! This would certainly be something that would wake people up at night with the huge engine and giant frame. It is also not that much at only $2000.”

Car 4: 1995 Himatchi Mintira

The salesperson turns to you and says “This beauty features a 2.0L Inline 4 but it can push this light build with ease! The car can rev up into the 6000’s with ease and is also quite fun to drive. This car also has a fresh set of sport compounds that can hold traction like a race car! There is never any wheel spin! Did I mention it is RWD? it sure is making it a perfect sports car for anything! It does not come in cheap though at $2800”

Car 5: 1996 Keistone Kompact

The salesperson frowns and says “not much here for you but it’s cheap. You could have this for $1300 but the 0.5L I4 isn’t going to get you far in the tuning world or even on the highway. For you I would not recommend this car but if you wish go ahead and take it.”

How it Works
The Rice Bowl is a competition to see who can tune their car the beat and who can tune the worst! There s no limit to what you do to your car except for your budget. The budget will be explained later on. All you do is download one of these cars and tune it up! I will go into scoring below.

If you are having trouble with the kei car try loading it from frame, engine, and then trim instead of straight to trim.
If the AWD sedan is et to 100 rear please make it 50/50
Hope you guys like it and enjoy! Little complex but… Well… I think you are smart.

Interested.

same here. i’ll get to work on my side.

I like the idea, but some of the scoring categories are pretty ridiculous. “Most Camber” is pointless since everyone will just use -3, and “Biggest Wing” is even more pointless. I get that they are supposed to be ricey categories, but the “Most riced looking car” should be enough.

Biggst wing will go away but most camber is hard because you still have to maintain 20 drivability so think that can stay

one question, will ripping seats out cost nothing? as i mean, you really only need the one, and, well, yeah

Well Automation requires you to have at least 2 but ripping them out costs nothing. Changing their material costs money though.

appreciate response, one last question, what’s the max octane we can use? are we in the US and limited to premium, or are we in japan and can go all out with ultimate?

Alright i just went to work on making a submission based on the kei car and the stock engine is too big for the car for some reason.

I am cunfused. When I need to keep my car under $5000 do you mean keeping the car under 5000 for the total cost or just using the budget system. I am stoopid soory.

Odd… Try to load it by going to the frame area, then the engine, and then the trim.

Just the budget system (which includes the price of the used car)

I will limit to 98 because you can find that at most petrol stations

98 is… what again? the one below ultimate if i remember correctly?

I think that is super

This intrigues me. Having made a truck specifically for performance, I’ll have to see what I can do with this one.

Any specific year we’re supposed to stick to?

Im in and I chose Car 2

Are we allowed to install VVL on an engine that hasn’t been fitted with it? And are we allowed to upgrade an existing VVT system or install a new one?

I can change the existing grilles position?

as for VVL… you can’t even do that.
