Thecarlover's mods & WIPs

guess Land Roamer SP and HP can be made now

Trans Sport update coming soon! Thereā€™s only so much I can do without completely overhauling the body, but itā€™s curvier and the cargo version isnā€™t so plain.

Hereā€™s early progress on the modern pony carā€¦

No Rocket Bunny Boss S14 blueprints around, so a base S14 has to do.

Liking the looks of that, honestly.

This is Awesome! Keep at it!

What body types are we expecting from this modern muscle (Please Wagon)

I hadnā€™t thought about a wagon. Coupe and convertible are to be expected. I guess I could consider a shooting brake variant as well, but that would likely be a later release if I do it.

At least I put it on your mind

Please, make this model look like rocket bunny S14, pleaseā€¦ I would do outdated hooner for 2017

Actually - please do not make it so that only thing we can build is a rocket bunny s14 please. One of the morph variants - i got no problems with that, but morphing should allow us to chose between ā€œs14 with chopped noseā€ and a ā€œsmall muscleā€ or ā€œcompact sportsā€

With the way morphs work, I canā€™t give the option between curvy nose and flat nose. Iā€™m not making this as an S14, but rather as a pony car for ~2005, since the wheelbase on the S14 is 20 cm shorter than the Mustangā€™s. Basically a smaller, nimbler, more affordable muscle car. So while I will try to maximise the morphs, it will essentially come out looking like a much smaller Challenger.

Well, I can not say I know how morphs work, but I thought that a charger daytona type nose could be flattened into a regular charger style grille, but I might be wrong. But yeah, a small muscle is a great idea. Iā€™m thinking if this is out early enough Iā€™ll see if I can get it into AMWEC

Depends on the morph to some extent. While the design might let me morph it to be at least somewhat curvy, the smoothing groups will destroy any illusion of that. With the smoothing of surfaces, if I smooth the front with the sides, reflections will be really weird around those 90 degree angles, but with the separate smoothing, when curving it the reflections wonā€™t line up with the sides at that will be weird as well. It really all depends on the model, and both those types of front ends are just not possible here while looking good.

Trans Sport has been updated!

That was the last of the models to update, so now my attention is entirely on the pony car. Iā€™m hoping to have it done by next week, but Iā€™m so busy with school that I canā€™t commit to any set date.

Hey thecarlover, I saw a bug in a Trans Sport aka U-Series: weird rear window deform (cargo variant only, normal variant not affected).

@ohm1996: Iā€™ll look into it tomorrow, but that doesnā€™t surprise me. I seem to have endless morphing issues with the Trans Sport.

Not much to show yet, with the ends still being flat, but hereā€™s the pony car so far:

Updated the Trans Sport again!

Pony car mesh is done and textured (but not fully smoothed), though I see that I should curve the roof upward a bit moreā€¦

The turbosmooth option is the best. Select square option or triangle.

I like the looks of that! An angry little mini-muscle car. Looking forward to being able to build with it.

Coming soonā€¦
