Thecarlover's mods & WIPs

Looks good. Never imagined Iā€™d ever see Audi C4 headlamps on a Scion, though.

You never know what the ricer crowd is doing these days. Iā€™ve already seen 350Z tail lights on a Civic.

I made the xB body quite morphable, so thereā€™s some variety on what can be done with it:

I finished the Scion xB/Toyota bB body! First post updated with the info, though the standalone download is here because I canā€™t add any more attachments to the first post.

as per usual, good work (and my god you work fast, you made 3 mods in the time i see some people use to make one)

I have a lot of free time, and when I get passionate about something (such as making these), I donā€™t get bored and can just keep working until I need to eat or sleep. :stuck_out_tongue: I wonā€™t have so much free time after the holidays, so I might as well try to make the most of it while I can.

Hey, just a suggestion. Could you make a modern late 00ā€™s/10ā€™s sedan with a wheelbase between 107"-112"? That would be simply amazing.

I canā€™t commit to any requests, and Iā€™m working on a late 90s pickup truck right now. We definitely are lacking of modern cars, so I just might make one in the future. Iā€™ve been looking at the 2012 Camry as a possibility, but no guarantees.

Lol I also thought that something like a Camry/Taurus would be quite nice to see.

IIRC Felgen mentioned that his next project will be a 2010s sedan.

Not much to show yet, but hereā€™s my next projectā€¦

The 1995 Super Duty Ram (1994 Ram and 1998 Super Duty mashup)

Looks good to me. Nice big pickup truck.

This fills a gap of the 90s Pickups, I also suggest you to do the Single Cab, Crew Cab (4-Door) and SUV bodies beside Extended Cab that you do first, so it would be four body styles in the same wheelbase.

Nice non-Scion! Now I think about making offer from my Japanese subcompany
This pick-up is going nice too

Itā€™s quite nice. But thereā€™s one thing that somebody once pointed out to me. I know the Bb is supposed to be a box, and isnā€™t supposed to be a completely accurate representation of the Bb. Itā€™s literally too much of a box.

See in the bottom picture here? The side is curved, this includes the side glass, which a lot of cars also get wrong in Automation. No company make car with completely flat side glass since the 1970ā€™s. I too wonder why no one pointed this out before. I guess this isnā€™t much of a problem with other bodies because they have either curved side panels or/and slanted side windows. But your Toyota Bb doesnā€™t have either and that makes it looks literally like a box. In fact, all of your bodies is too much of a box, but itā€™s especially pronounced with the Bb.

Look at this Lincoln, very slab sided. The real one is obviously curved sided and the glass is slanted. Not completely upright. Itā€™d look much better if it has curved side panel and slanted greenhouse.

I hope this help.

The only blueprint I found for the Lincoln was a convertible, so I had to improvise on the roof, and only showed the side and front of the car, so I was limited in my references. By the time I considered how boxy it was, it was already too late to do anything. The slabs are quite accurate, except they could be curved outward a little more, but I realise what you mean about the greenhouse: it slopes down at the back, and my model barely has that slope. If I had to do it again, I would make those changes to add a few more curves to it.

As for the xB, the sides really are very flat, I had a full set of blueprints and based most of the shape on that:

The pickup Iā€™m working on will be curvier

Edit: I just might revisit the Continental and add a bit more of a curve to the greenhouse, it shouldnā€™t be much trouble. I do have to fix the thumbnail (missing arrows), so itā€™s due for an update anyways.

That would be superb.

They are pretty flat, but they arenā€™t completely flat, if you look closely there is a slight convex shape to the doors of the bB and the greenhouse has some degree of curvature, as conan said, no one (except for one company) still uses flat glass on their cars.

I have one in my driveway if you need specific photos of corners or angles let me know. Iā€™m so excited for this model.

There is a curvature in the model, itā€™s just not very pronounced. I could revisit that one as well to modify the curvature a bit and make it look less flat

Iā€™m always accepting of constructive criticism to make my models better.

I assume you mean a Super Duty or a Ram?
I should be alright with references, there are plenty of photos online, and Iā€™ll be adding my own touches to the model, with it being a mashup and all. I donā€™t want it to lean too much one way r the other. :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually Iā€™m a model behind I guess, I meant for the xB.
