When I initially started building I overlooked the european market bit (whoops), but I retuned over rebuild and it worked out better than expected. Since I was going for an American frame of mind to Europe I was going to go with something along the lines of an “American Werewolf in London/Paris”, but London came out like 14 years before the challenge and Paris like two years after so poo. You dont have to spend all points and choose wisely for the car YOU would actually buy and really drive. Remember its the year 1995, its the European Market and YOU want to buy a Roadster! The competitors in the real market would be the MX-5, Alfa Spider, Barchetta or Z3!

it’s interesting to see that the early guys to submit have quite the aggressive cars, then it gets mellower the later it goes. as can be seen from the 0-60 times.
except for the last car. that’s pretty aggresive from the weight to power ratio.
i could’ve gone that route, but decided to cap my engine for drivability, and reliability.
