TheTom's car designs

here are some pics of one of the coupes i made so far, and this is the first that i’m actually quite happy with.

PS: i edited the title because this will now be the thread in which i post some of my platform designs (only if i think they look quite good, of course)

Here’s a somewhat-sporty hatchback:

Now to wait for the ability to put engines in them, so you can put your veyron destroyer it them!

that engine wouldn’t fit in either of these cars, and even if it did, it would be totally uncontrollable. That would be certain death, i would need a bigger car to fit that engine in and i would need one with a wider track, bigger wheels and great differentials, maybe it would work then.

Here’s a pretty cool sedan, it’s meant to be elegant and not sporty, sort of normal bmw 5-series or so

Here’s another sports coupe i made. I’m not really happy with the back end but that’s mainly because of the lack of decent back lights, so i don’t bother.

Now i got a super sedan for you guys, sort of bmw M5-like. Tell me what you think about it ^^

The only engine type you can have in this car is NA V8, but you can choose from a 4.0 with 467hp and 466Nm, a 4.5 with 591hp and 537Nm, a 5.0 with 621hp and 589Nm, or a 6.0 with 763hp and 724Nm.

Brilliant work but for the V8 car more vents if you use a Turbo unit lol but your an Natural Aspirated person you wont use a turbo lol

i don’t really see a point in why i should use a turbo cause that 6.0 is definitely more powerful than its competitors (M5, E63 AMG, RS6 and so on) and yet it makes only 390g/kWh so why would i need a turbo?

what about a Brabus engine then or an AMG V12 Bi Turbo then you might need them haha

those make about the same amount of power but higher torque than my engine, but then they’re much heavier so i don’t really care…

aw right I am still learning about things haha all I need to know is just what I can do with the engines I have and I do like the burble of a big block V8

Back to the topic, let’s move on with a new, red sports coupe:

This will be powered mainly by I6s from 2.0-3.0L, some turbo-charged, others not. Maybe if V10s come out, the top-version of it will have a 4.0 or 4.5L V10, i don’t know yet but for now it’s the design that counts

PS: I just noticed that the first pic here was taken before i added the air vents under the side window

now that looks a great car

Here’s another brand new sports coupe from me. As you guys can probably tell by now, i like coupes

This one is designed so that nobody could speak of understatement, and that’s good because the smallest engine available for this is a 5.0 V8.

One question whats the biggest engine you are planning for your cars Tom?

8.0, but NA because it would be almost impossible (and ridiculously expensive) to adjust all the other stuff like suspension, brakes, tires, gearbox, transmission and so on to acutually handle the power well if i fitted a gigantic turbocharged V8 in it. And honestly, who would look at an 8.0 V8 that revs to 8500 RPM and makes around 1100hp and then say “hmm, i could do with a bit more…”?

Something new here, my first upperclass saloon (BMW 7-series, Mercedes S-class or even Bentley Continental as competitors)

Hope you enjoy, this will have 6.0 - 7.0 V8s which will be tuned down to produce a lot of torque but not much high-end power, and all that while being silent and comfortable

I know man you know what we should do a car together you know I will deal with the body work and stuff and you can deal as ever with the engine lol

Sorry Rob, i like to design my cars myself…

I’ve just had an idea. Some of you might know that Top Gear took a Bentley on a rallye, so i went on and modded my upperclass saloon in a way that you can now also take it on a rallye
