TMCC36 - Razor's Edge (One Week Remaining!)

yes, but with all due respect, i cannot answer everything for you. some of this will have to be you making the decisions based on intuition, not me telling you everything.

Guess I’m setting the bar, come at me.

now this is epic

This generation of Grimsel may well be the best one since the seminal '90s original, twin turbos and all - they even look like they share the same body set ('95 Super Wedge). The use of identical tire sizes front and rear, even with AWD, seems a bit odd to me, but it does its job well enough. If I were to order one, I would choose Acid Green as the exterior color, if only to stand out from the crowd even more.

DON’T PLAY AROUND

CHIRURGICO TIZZANO

Have you seen geckos? Whimsical little creatures, they are. Those big eyes, staring at you expectingly. Those feet, which sticks to virtually any surface it wants to cling onto. Helps them rapidly chase their prey or scurry from threat, and even to jump when they feel like it. And that smile… careful, play with it too much and it’ll have you firmly in its jaws, and not everyone can take what comes after…

Now look at the Tizzano. It’ll do exactly that.

A real work of art - your best yet - but the base body set is barely recognizable, so what exactly did you use? And what engine lurks under its bubble-like rear window? In any case, I’m assuming it’s AWD, for drivability’s sake.

To answer:

  • The body set I’m using is the '60 LM mid 60s LWB, of course with several 3D fixture tricks to modernize its shape a bit
  • The engine is a 4.7L V8TT (wanted to get the redline to 9000 rpm) making just short of 1000 hp
  • Yes, it has AWD

That may explain why its glasshouse and windscreen are so heavily curved - which adds to its strong retro-modern vibe.

Hypothetically, if I want to make a hybrid car, can I use a bigger (and different layout) engine to simulate the full power of the hybrid system, but just say it has a smaller engine and electric power? Would that be allowed and would it affect the scoring in any way, if the actual stats are what are looked at anyway?

seeing as it can’t accurately be simulated, i’m going to say no to pretend hybrid systems for this brief.

My original plan for a joint entry with moroza is off the table, but I’m still willing to work with someone else on a collaborative entry - I’ve already made a test mule for this round, and finalized the engineering for it by now. If anyone (other than him, obviously) is willing to contribute, please contact me via DM.

A car that pursues extreme speed like Senna may be a bit crazier than you think, like using a CCX like body with 800 horsepower 1.6Tv6 and 315 semi hot melt tires, which is enough to run the entire N ü rburgring North Ring Road in less than 6 minutes with 5 comfort levels…It even has 5 points of comfort

Even I knew that would be too much for the brief, so I stuck to regular sports tires - but I went for a hand-made interior for maximum prestige and comfort.

ngl as far as now all I seen was just cars that needed to be good for circuit racing and being just some hp less than the limit…

*definitely did not spend 80% of building time on the 3D engine
**really it’s just ITBs, but I made the intake look cool
edit: updated the pics with my actual entry

Great build, you’ve improved a lot recently in terms of design. I really like the engine bay and it’s details

Thanks. It’s still very much hit or miss in terms of styling for me. I hope I did a good job on the engineering side as well

Are you looking in the engine tab or the designer tab. I believe WES is still broken in the trim designer.
