TMCC40 - Celebrity In A Cheaply-Priced Automobile [DONE]

It’s not rounded

Hi, I am not new to the game but new to the forum. May I enter the 2005 Olorf Refne? Designed specifically for this challenge and, as far as I can tell, meets all the criteria.

2006 Waldersee Attache 1.6i

A Stupid Bargain

Right then the Atta-shay. Where do we even start? Every time a haughty German brand launches a small car - downright subcompact, in this case - the end result is some boring, ugly, overpriced, slow car. And that’s the right way to go about it. You got the badge and the name - why try? You will sell millions of the mingers to clots who never seem to learn.

And sure, this is a three-door, front-wheel-drive hatchback with paper-thin doors, cloth seats an an awkwardly large forehead, but that all makes it light - barely over a ton. That’s light enough that zero to sixty takes less than nine seconds in this, the meager 105-horsepower 1.6 model.

It gets worse, too - this is a pretty, chic spaceship kind of car, just like the stormtrooper-helmet Civic. It’s cute, but not effete - a rare combination. The StreetKa could learn a thing or two.

It corners well, it rides fine, and - Gods above! - it’s cheap. They really have made a hash of it, haven’t they?

EMBARGO LIFTED — POSEIDON INTRODUCES THE TURTLE RANGE (GEN7)

Tide · Bay · Diver

Cheap can be cheerful. You can feel alive.

Poseidon Automotive today lifts the embargo on its most important program to date: the Turtle range, a three-model compact performance family engineered on the all-new Gen7 flexible chassis platform.

Designed from the outset to support front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive without compromise, Turtle represents Poseidon’s answer to a market that has forgotten how to make affordable cars engaging.

This is not cost-cutting.
This is cost-discipline.

GEN7 PLATFORM – ONE CHASSIS, THREE PERSONALITIES

At the heart of the Turtle range is the Gen7 modular steel monocoque, engineered to accept:

  • Transverse FWD layouts
  • Longitudinal RWD layouts
  • Fully integrated AWD systems

Suspension geometry, weight distribution, and power delivery were tuned per drivetrain, not averaged across the range. The result is three genuinely distinct cars sharing a common foundation.

TURTLE TIDE — FRONT-DRIVE DONE PROPERLY

Price: from $13,700
Layout: Front-engine, FWD
Gearbox: 5-speed manual

Engine:

  • 1.6 L DOHC inline-4
  • 65.6 kW @ 5,500 rpm
  • 145.5 Nm @ 2,700 rpm

Performance:

  • 0–100 km/h: 12.4 s
  • Top speed: 189 km/h
  • Fuel economy: 7.5 L/100 km

Character:
Tide is the honest entry point — light, efficient, and deliberately simple. With strong mid-range torque and low mass, it prioritises usability and mechanical clarity over spec-sheet bravado.

Tide proves that affordability does not have to mean indifference.

TURTLE BAY — REAR-WHEEL DRIVE, REDEFINED

Price: from $19,900
Layout: Front-engine, RWD
Gearbox: 5-speed manual

Engine:

  • 3.0 L DOHC inline-4
  • 181.8 kW @ 6,700 rpm
  • 321.8 Nm @ 3,700 rpm

Performance:

  • 0–100 km/h: 6.6 s
  • Top speed: 199 km/h
  • Fuel economy: 10.5 L/100 km

Character:
Bay exists for one reason: balance.
With a longitudinal engine, rear-drive layout, and properly tuned rear suspension, Bay delivers adjustability and throttle control almost unheard of at this price point.

Rear-wheel drive is no longer reserved for premium badges.

TURTLE DIVER — ALL-WHEEL DRIVE, UNAPOLOGETIC

Price: up to $27,700
Layout: Front-engine, AWD
Gearbox: 5-speed dual-clutch

Engine:

  • 3.0 L DOHC inline-6
  • 195.4 kW @ 7,500 rpm
  • 296.2 Nm @ 4,700 rpm

Performance:

  • 0–100 km/h: 4.7 s
  • Top speed: 198 km/h
  • Fuel economy: 13.3 L/100 km

Character:
Diver is the apex of the Turtle range — all-weather traction, higher rev ceiling, and the most sophisticated drivetrain in the family.

It is not luxury AWD.
It is driver-focused AWD.

POSEIDON PHILOSOPHY: ENTRY PRICE, NOT ENTRY STANDARDS

Across all three models, Turtle adheres to a single internal rule:

Customers pay for engineering, not illusion.

No artificial trim inflation.
No fake sport packages.
No performance locked behind options.

From $13,700 to $27,700, Turtle delivers real mechanical choice — FWD, RWD, or AWD — backed by honest power figures and coherent chassis tuning.

THE BOTTOM LINE

The Turtle range is not designed to chase trends.
It is designed to restore connection.

Poseidon Turtle
Cheap can be cheerful.
You can feel alive.

small question, Is the medium tyre compound allowed?

I don’t see why it wouldn’t be

As the rules say, only sports, semi-slicks and race compound tyres are banned, so yes, mediums are allowed.

Need a car? Cool, we have one.

The Drescher 160S has everything you might want: 4 Wheels, an Engine and painfully 2000´s styling (including the unpleasant colour).

Drescher is a german premium brand, so why did they develop this car? Simple, Money. In todays (2006) world, not everyone can afford premium cars, so Drescher designed this car to stay competitive. Rumour has it that its actually a rebadged and slightly redesigned korean car, but we wouldnt know, right?
