Either way, I’m pretty darn angry about it. I wanted to stay, but alas, today has proven how divided our country is.
Thus, I believe this song is far more fitting. Often misinterpreted as being about the greatness of Britain, when actually it’s more about how Britain was being destroyed by the rise of industrialization in the early 1800s. Today, I feel it represents my views for wanting a better England that is a part the EU; Internationalism over nationalism. I’ll stop now before I rant too much, but either way, this song will sadly never make me feel patriotic ever again.
