Well… TBH, I’ve spent at least 5 hours on the BRC1100 car. And then on the OTHER hand… the Super 1000 car I have was literally just about 40 minutes, of which 30 were on the engine.
I would not call 40 minutes “just”. I prefer doing it quickly, because that is what the multiplayer tycoon mode will be about - making competitive models in less than 10 minutes.
What’s the power everyone getting for Super 1000? I’m struggling to hit 150hp, hit a wall at 146hp
Sounds like what I have. I didn’t exactly spend forever tuning Super 1000, though.
Oh yeah, saw your build, how did you get MFI in 1988?
MFI appears in 1968. It’s just mechanical fuel injection. I have 0 quality in most categories, and -11 in exhaust.
i spent about 15-20 minutes on the Super 1000, got 149hp and a reasonable powerband. I think suspension setup will play a lot more into the car’s performance than 10 horsepower either way.
Well, there go my ideas of winning

What’s your set up?
I’ll reveal after the BRC.

You’re almost 20 seconds faster than me ![]()
what time do you do on the airfield track?

I’m rather curious about your time in the stage 3 of the old challenge, if you’re good there as well, I am very screwed indeed…
The people around Jakgoe are using an exploit (the same which leads to the extremely low times on the airfield track etc.). They use 20+ wings at lowest settings to generate very much downforce at very low drag. Exploting this bug will not be tolerated. There will be a new rule (max. 2 wings and lips) and people who had more will get another chance.
Whoa, that’s completely unfair! The time I posted is Stage 1 optimized car. It will not stand a chance around slower tracks. You can’t take away a technical advantage we have. If we know how to do something to make our car faster, you can’t immediately ban it. This is not unlike the FIA banning Brabham’s BT46 because it was better than the rest of the field had. At least be like the FIA and let us race in this one race. If you didn’t want us to use advance aerodynamic techniques, you should have made that clear in the rules. Would you like it if you made a NA engine with 600hp, but it was banned because it would be too dominant?

It is breaking the game. The devs already confirmed and fixed the glitch in closed beta (see latest youtube video). It is unfair to use a broken system to gain an advantage. You were not a bit suspicious that such a number of wings is a bit unrealistic and that there might be something broken? To be honest, it is a bit ridiculous to call it a “technical advantage” and “advanced aerodynamic techniques”.
If I knew of that bug before, I would have forbidden more wings immediately. You guys knew that the system was broken for a few days now and there was no bug report or at least a question if aero is working as it should.
No one will be disqualified when he used that bug accidentally or on purpose, but the cars cannot be accepted. Everyone who used the bug will be able to send in another car.
Understood, good explanation
.
Thank you a lot for your cooperation.
The “technical advantage” you have is none! You just spotted a weak point of the game and are using it to get faster lap-times instead of reporting it to the developers. I can’t see any kind of sportmanship in that!
You should think about what your “advanced techniques” would be like in real life. A car with e.g. 250 wings produces the same downforce as one with only two … but the aerodynamics are much better? Well … no!
Futhermore it is clear that a 20 s advantage on the first stage of the rallye will also lead to very good times on all other tracks. Maybe your advance will be shorter on other tracks but you will still be faaar ahead.
I must say that this car is ONLY good on the first stage. Compared to the NA version, it loses 40(!) sec on stage 3 of the shakedown.
