Trucks and Off Roaders

In light of all of the juicy mods that have been released and the variety of off-roaders available to us now adays I thought it would be a good idea to post up all of the wonderful off road machines we have created.

Post pics and stats (if you would like) of any trucks/SUV’s/off road vehicles, new or old you have cooked up! Feel free to include a sales pitch.

1991 Comrade Motors - Badlands 3W

Forged from glorious steel acquired from the depths of the Peoples Republic of Comrade is the Badlands. Designed to be a light duty civilian truck with military and security application it is reliable and can go just about anywhere. The body and frame are made of steel, pure and simple. Lightweight plastics and aluminum would not be able to stand up to the abuse this thing is capable of inflicting upon itself. The doors have reinforcement bars to provide rigidity and protect the occupants from side impacts, whether you spin out and sideswipe a tree or a rebel truck T-bones you, you will be fine.

The engine is as simple as pie. A 2.0l cast iron block, push valves and a 4 barrel carb. Is it old world? Yes. Is it obsolete compared to more modern valve trains and this thing called ‘fuel injection’? No, well yes, it is. It is so reliable you can pour 80 RON 50/50 mix of fermented donkey urine and vodka in the tank and run it with next to no oil? Yes. Fuel mileage isn’t great, managing 21 MPG US. With 69hp at the crank we dare not guess how much of that is translated to the pavement through the 4 speed manual transmission. 0-100 is accomplished in 15.2 seconds and the top speed is 130kmph, when your bashing over hedges and climbing over rocks that is more then adequate.

The suspension took tips from 1950, McPherson front struts and rear coils. The ride is reasonable soft, but is still responsive enough so that you notice changes in the terrain. The vehicles rudimentary suspension allows it a great advantage off road when compared to more modern suspension components. The simplicity allows for easy maintenance, and even easier upgrades. Off road enthusiasts can simply put the truck on a lift and swap out the coils for higher end components, lower the car back onto the ground and hit the dirt in the same evening.

The interior leaves much to be desired when compared to a 1991 Cadillac SeVille. When compared to a ox cart it looks live a 4 star motel. Seating 6 the car features a double bench layout. Even with backpacks, hiking gear and a crate of soviet block small arms in the cabin there is room for 10 RPG’s and a Pecheneg in the back! A AM/FM radio coupled with a CB radio are the sole sources of entertainment, unless you count manual crank window races as good fun, in that case you will surely have a blast!

The 3W designation is for Third World, it can be exported internationally and dropped of the back of a mid-sized cargo helicopter within 48 hours of payment confirmation via paypal. From the Caucuses to the Congo the Peoples Republic of Comrade, Borderland will gladly serve you till the end! Whether that end is a SVD round to the throat, a CIA espionage or beheading is up to you!

For those with a few more coins in their pocket and a fetish for everything being cheaply gold plated the 1991 Comrade Motors - Borderland 1W is the truck for you!

With an upscale interior featuring cheap leather accents, chrome plated steel, a small air conditioner and a cassette player a war lord could party in style! The exterior boasts a thin gold plating over the whole of the exterior with chrome accents added. Everyone will know you are the king of the dune when they see this bad boy glimmering in the horizon. The windows received an extra heavy stick on tint, you will forever have the element of surprise on your had when assassins try to snipe your from a cliff, is it you driving? or the body double you hired 10 minutes ago?

The engine saw some real upgrades with the 1W package. Single point fuel injection was implemented, and forged internals allowed for increased power output. the Compression was increased to a lofty 8.5:1 ratio. The end result is 87hp and 110 ft.lbs of torque. (18 more then the 3W) When paired with a 5 speed manual transmission the 1W achieves 24.5 MPG US and manages 0-100 in 12.4 seconds.

Bigger rims and bulkier tires were slapped on to assert dominance over any and all terrain that dare defy you while you reign supreme over your territory. Rocks, human skulls and the bodies of the slain stand no chance against these bad boys.

The 1W retails for significantly more then the 3W, however you get a lot more bang for you buck. The only downside is you have to acquire a supply of 91 octane fuel to keep it running properly, which shouldn’t be a problem for a big bad war lord like you, right?

I love it! Very much a real world application…

Where DO you folks get all these custom bodies for this game that are not presently in the car designer? There must be some modding tools I need to get acquainted with??

3D modding forums are filled with them, check the community mod pack thread first.

Got it, tks!

I have to find the time to create the Znopresk Zanzibar.

Introducing the 1985 Galt Motors Land Roamer, a small off road SUV designed for civilian use with military applications. sporting the in house galt BL2C10276 engine producing 102 horsepower on 76 aki fuel, it should have the power to go over any obstacle in its way, while being reliable enough to roll over, hit a tree, and drive home. designed for 3rd world countries and militaries, but due to off road capability, some have been imported to the states and converted to mud bogging and rock crawling; however with only 10.5 MPG it burns through cash as quickly as it does gas, but your probably not worried too much over fuel economy when driving through a flooded road to acess a field after a major rainstorm turning the ground to mud. (off topic mode on, hey, im new to automation, this is the first car i uploaded, id take any suggestions or hate, and ill apologize if i broke the rule saying no making your eyes bleed, then again , i seen cheese motors)

The 3rd world workhorse feel is strong in this thread :-p

Awesome trucks/SUV’s!

Looks pretty sweet, has a higher end safari-worthy look to it.

Very good! They have a good potential for tuning, I think it is quite possible expedition vehicle. I so far have only made the first attempt in this area.

Just had to do this when the 80s SUV got added…

Can you name the truck with four wheel drive, Smells like a steak, and seats thirty five? Canyonero! Canyonero! Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down, It’s the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown, CANYONEEEERO! CANYONEEEERO!

might as well attempt to revive the thread…

here is the 2015 Pathmaker Sport, a modern SUV that is quite luxurious on the inside, but is still a very reliable and capable off roader, being able to climb a 45 degree incline or driving through a giant mud pit, even if you only want it just for the luxury.

as one can see, it is (my very first and probably worst attempt at) a modern looking SUV, fuel economy is one left to be desired, but if you’re paying for the luxury bits then you can probably afford more fuel to feed its thirsty I6 engine.

speaking of the engine, the uncommon thing here is the fact the engine is made of cast, why is that? its because cast is so much stronger than aluminum, being designed for off road, accidents will happen, and this just guarantees that if you slam head on into a tree at highway speeds (and if you live) you should be able to drive home, better than those “cars” that has the engine seize if you simply look at it the wrong way.
