False, because you donât have to use services like steam. It does make things a lot easier to patch etc. as long as youâre conscientious about your settings. But many of the games I do have arenât on Steam. Theyâre more on Abandonware sites, or GoGâŚ
The only Steam game I do have that I donât use any Steam services for are TES games, because I usually run about 150+ mods each on them and the only way you can do that without the game imploding in a neverending stream of ctds is to do it manually and carefully.
