True. Funny story about that actually. I will detail it shortly, after I post so I donāt get ninjad.
The story is as follows: One day my brother and I were roughhousing. And by that, we mean harrassing our older sister, who was trying to bar us from entering her room. We didnāt actually want to enter her room for any reason, but just the fact she was trying to stop us made us want to push on the door. Then I came up with an idea.
āLet go,ā I told my brother. āI have a piano exam tomorrow, so thereās no way my sister will slam the door on my fingers.ā He let go, and I wedged the middle finger of my right hand into the door frame.
Boy, was I wrong. SLAM, went the door on my poor fingers. Oh, the agony. And the swelling. My middle fingernail was split in half, and rapidly went all purple. I put the finger in ice, but left it on too long, making it even worse.
Next day, I rocked up for my piano exam with my finger wrapped up in some seriously heavy bandaging and tape. My teacher raised an eyebrow. āI had an accident,ā I said. āBut Iām sure I can still play.ā
For reference, I was playing this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMTYooS1oGQ (obviously not my performance). It went surprisingly well, except for the part where the bandages made my finger fatter than the keys.
