I don’t mind. Its ok.
The new 2019 TSR Mont Blanc.
This is the new 2nd generation Mont Blanc. The 1st generation was in production until 2002. Then it goes through a 17 year hiatus. Now, the new Mont Blanc is revealed. If the Kansai was the sport-oriented GT car, then the Mont Blanc is the comfort-oriented GT car. And that is why they released the Mont Blanc. It was cheaper and less powerful than the Kansai, but more comfortable, luxurious, quiter, save more fuel and it’s cheaper. It also uses the new V8 that will be used in the 4th generation Fallwing. Of course, AWD is standard across all versions.

The birth of the Itakara
It is the beginning of the 90s and TSR needed a fun and affordable sports car for the family. So, they designed a car and in 1993, the Itakara came out. It has 3 engine options, the NA SOHC 2 litre I4, NA DOHC 2 litre I4 and a turbocharged DOHC 2 litre I4. The suspension is McPherson struts in the front and multi-link suspension in the back. The Itakara has many trim levels. Let us explain.
First letter:
G - NA SOHC 2 litre I4
D - NA DOHC 2 litre I4
T - Turbocharged DOHC 2 litre I4, AWD standard (no need X)
Second letter and third letter
S - Tuned engine and suspension with alloy rims
X - All-wheel drive
Example: GSX - Tuned NA SOHC 2 litre I4 with tuned suspension and all-wheel drive with alloy rims
RS is not is not a combination of any of the letters mentioned. It means the sportiest and fastest Itakara with AWD.
This is the Itakara G. It is the base model. Equipped with an NA SOHC 2 litre I4 producing 116HP to the front wheels. These have steel rims only. When it was new, it’s price was $9292 without mark-up. That means that lots of young teenagers all around the world buy these cars and modify them.
This is the GS. It is the sportier variant of the G. It now has a sportier suspension, alloy wheels and the same engine but tuned to 138HP.
The D, DS, DX and DSX have their window trim gloss black. The D and DX have a 2 litre DOHC I4 producing 162HP. The DS and DSX have the same engine but tuned to 189HP.
The T and TS came standard with all-wheel drive. So, the letter X is not needed in the name. They both have gloss black roof and window trims. Both of them are turbocharged, hence the first letter is T. The T produces 236HP while the TS produces 253HP.
This is the ultimate first generation Itakara. In 1995, they wanted to go race in the Group A rally. They needed a good foundation to work on their Group A rally car. They created the RS. Only 2000 were ever made. They are the most sought after version of the Itakara. Due to the gentleman agreement in Japan, all of the JDM Itakara RS have a boost restrictor which limits the engine to 276HP. But, most people who bought them remove the boost restrictor for more power. Stock Itakara RS without the boost restrictor can produce 285HP.
The actual Group A rally car will be posted tomorrow. Stay tuned for more. Thank you.
If you want to try it for yourself, feel free to download it. Feel free to modify it as well!

TSR Itakara Group A rally car
TSR wants to compete in the Group A rally with the Itakara. They asked NR5, one of the tuning companies that modified cars from TSR. They tuned it to 300HP, put rally tires, off-road skidtrays, soften the suspension, shorter gear ratios, stripped out the interior and more. The car proved to be very competitive. Its main rivals are the Subaru Impreza WRX STI and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
This is the number 24 Team NR5 version sponsored by Turbo Turbochargers.
If you want to drive it, feel free!

That looks nearly perfect! Just the right amount of dated and industrial, but durable looks, but still very modern. And now for some reason I feel obliged to make a van. Question is, Farox or Hokuto lore?
Why not both?
One of the most iconic cars from TSR…
The Itakara was selling well. They have accumulated enough money to design another car. TSR wanted a successor to the first generation Ultra. So, they started designing one in 1995. Development took 5 years until in 2000, the car was on sale. It is way faster than the NSX and competed against the top supercars of the early 2000s. The body panels are made from carbon-fiber. The chassis is also made of carbon fiber. All the suspensions are pushrod suspensions. The 2nd generation Ultra was in production for only one model year, 2000. It is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 5 litre V8 producing 724HP and 647 lb-ft of torque. The body is designed to be as streamlined as possible. A low-drag 200mph+ version was planned, but never got into production. The car was way ahead of its time. It has active aero, AWD and more goodies.
The front and rear view of the 2nd generation Ultra NR5
The 5 litre twin-turbocharged V8.
The Ultra can go 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds and can do the quarter mile in 10.51 seconds. Its top speed is 185mph. It can do 1.17g of cornering. Its weight is 1394kg. This is one of the few times where a Japanese company go all out crazy. TSR only made 250 of these. They stopped production in late December 2000, but the NR5 division still produces it until 2005 and rebranded them as NR5 Ultra.
The most iconic part of the 2nd generation Ultra is this scoop. There are 3 of them, all next to each other. The middle one feeds air to the engine and radiator while the other 2 on the sides feed air to the intercooler. This is one of the things that differentiates the Ultra from others.
But, the Ultra legacy is not over yet. Expect a successor of this in the 2018 LA Auto Show…
Feel free to drive it around! Thank you…

Wrapping up the 90s lore!
In 1995, the 2nd generation TSR Fallwing was born. The car has AWD as standard as well as a newly developed advanced automatic transmission. The chassis was corrosion-resistant steel with partial aluminium body panels. The wheelbase is 3.04 meters, making it a very long car at its time. The turbocharged all-aluminium V8 from the Mont Blanc was also used in the Fallwing. The Fallwing has a luxury CD player with full leather interior. It also has hydropneumatic springs for maximum comfort. Although reliability was fairly low, it still sold quite well. The sales made enough money for further development of the 2nd generation TSR Ultra. There are only 2 trim levels for the Fallwing, the Standard and the Bussiness. The price difference of these two trims when new are massive. Most people bought the Standard while the wealthy people bought the Bussiness.
This is the base model, the Standard.
This is the top-of-the-line model, the Bussiness. The interior is now hand-made.
The 2nd generation Fallwing was in production until 2005 when it got replaced by the 3rd generation Fallwing. And that’s all of the TSR models in the 90s. Stay tuned for the 2000s lore!
Feel free to download the cars if you want to drive it. Thank you…

Do you mind if I make a targa version of your 2nd Gen Ultra? Swapped it with a 732hp 4.3L Boxer 6 Engine and softened the car a bit.
Goes to 219 MPH.
Absolutely! That looks so good! I love seing things like that.
The 2020 TSR Tora Ultra NR5 Spec R is revealed!
We proudly revealed the mystery car. Go check it out! It is now revealed in the 2018 LA Auto Show. See you there!
I want to reserve a unit!
Sure! Just be sure to PM me so that I can confirm.
Do I actually have to own a TSR to reserve a car? If so, how do I buy?
Yes. You need to have one. Just download one of the cars that I have uploaded in the website. If you want a newer car and you can’t wait until the 2010s lore, you can always PM me.
Owning a TSR means that you are dedicated to have the Tora Ultra NR5 and a TSR enthusiast instead of just owning a car. I hope my explanation is clear. Thanks.
