Twin Turbo and Superchargers

Hey! Great thing you have got going on here! I have been looking for a game like this for YEARS!

Anyway, will the twin turbo configuration be available for the inline engines as well? And if so, could you have two different turbo geometries, for example, one larger turbo for the higher revs and one smaller to up the torque on the lower revs?
Last thing, is it going to be possible to make an engine with both turbocharger and supercharger?

Cheers!

All those things will be possible, eventually :stuck_out_tongue:

Brilliant! Looking forward to the final release!
Keep up the good work, it´s much appreciated!

I have recently further tuned this to produce 2900hp at lower rpm!

Remember a supercharger and a turbocharger on the same engine is a fail being they work against each other. If anyone remembers the Detroit diesel Supercharger Turbocharger engines were a massive fail since they work against each other. Just a suggestion for those trying and for developers to know what happens when the two are mixed.

I has been done since, VAG did it 7-8years ago and it worked somewhat fine(the engine sucked yes, but the charging work allright), but it needs to be done right to work, theres a lot of custom jobs out in the world that works just fine

and what about Lancia Delta S4? was that a massive fail too?

it all depends on how the engine is built, the supercharger can still be made to turn off at certain RPM via clutch pulley, like most A/C systems use

I dont think you can call it a fail based on one engine. I mean, VAG’s 1.4 TSi twincharger was rather successful and won a lot of awards which of course it wouldn’t have if it was a failure.

Uhhh… no they don’t, not if done properly. I don’t know what was wrong with that paticular engine, nor am I sure what you mean by “work against each other”, even if you mean in terms of intake restriction, that’s why a lot of systems have bypass valves incorporated into them.

The VW 1.4TSI, Lancia Delta S4 and numerous aftermarket Twincharged 4AGEs have all produced pretty spectacular performance with no paticular issues, besides being fairly complex.

twincharging is awesome! they are complicated to set up propperly, but its awesome having the supercharger whine and the turbo whistle
