Probably pretty similar in region granularity as was used in Detroit. We donât want crazy micromanagement but not over-generalize either.
What about a selling Tab after the final testing Tab where you can dragân drop you Trims to your brands/markets and give them theire selling name. So that the Modelname and trimname youâve already gave it is only for internal use. like for example E90 for the BMW 3-series from 2005-2008.
That i can build a car an sell it by 2 Brands under 2 different names. Like the Nissan Primastar, Renault Traffic and Opel Vivaro.
So factories donât have to matter with wich name it would be sold (for example VW Bora in Germany and VW Jetta in USA) they just know its model XWB47 trim US-2 with engine 2.3L-lessoct engine family I4-2,3-16V.

Correction of what I said before about region granularity⌠I looked at a screenshot from Detroit showing the different regions and wow, I didnât remember it to be that simple:

So obviously, there will be more regions in Automation.
@WoarLord: If it was that easy youâre missing much of the important tycoon bits there.

Itâs just a ânice to haveâ and after iâve seen the last devupdate we getting closer.
And youâve got 10hours waitingtime a day less, so my internal german efficiency-calculator says : development could be up to 71.42857142857143% faster
Seriously: the automation-team does a great job.
greetings from hot and too humidious germany

Would setting up different companies require a budget for PR and R&D since each brand will probably have to have a different identity? (eg. those in the VAG Group)
And will we be able to purchase other companies to build as well as our own?

Probably you will be able to set up subbrands in different ways, as separate companies entirely or with shared aspects. Weâll see when we get there!
