Wellcome to the V6SC Aftershow where we give you the Engine, Chassis, and Racecar Reveals. Don’t forget that we also give the race result’s to anyone that missed the race.
In todays show we have scheduled the engine revel to the public, Interviews with the Engine manufactures and The time that the chassis submissions will start.
First up we have the Engine Reveal Right after this ad Break

Wellcome back to the V6SC Aftershow where we are just about to announce the two engines that will be used in the very first season of V6SC!!!
The first engine that has made it is…
The Boss 385 V6!!!
We sent our people over to the Boss Motorsports Engine facility to give KLinardo the owner The Great News!!!
Here’s what KLinardo had to say about the Boss 385 V6.
Boss Motorsports is very excited to be one of the engine providers for the first season of V6SC. The Boss 385 V6 takes its inspiration from the Ford Motor Company 385 Series V8 Big Block that brought us engines like the 429 CI, Boss 429, and 460 CI variants. Those motors got their name from the stroke measurement of the 460 CI V8 that debuted in the full-size Lincolns in 1968. We at Boss took those engines’ potential in V8 form and developed a V6 that shared the same stroke. From there we calculated a bore that would give us an engine that would use every CC of displacement we could muster while keeping the 3.85" stroke. Then we went on to develop the top end of the motor.
Initially we thought turbos might be allowed, so our first prototype was a DOHC 4V twin-turbo design that had a solid and flat torque curve while making 700 HP. That motor never really got off the ground, and we wound up losing the turbo and going with more aggressive cams and higher compression to make our power in our second prototype. We managed to get the engine in the parameters for competition, but through dyno testing, we realized that our 4-valve design was limiting airflow at top end, which in turn, hurt our torque output and made our torque curve too peaky with not much broad usable power like I wanted. So we set that motor aside and switched the heads.
The result was a 5-valve variant that gave us the airflow and improved torque curve that we wanted. From there we began tuning the valve-train and cylinder head design to get a compression ratio and cam setup that smoothed out the torque curve so that it was much more broad than the 4 valve designs. That would give us more usable power so that the driver could hold the gear longer while not having a surge in torque that would hurt the handling when getting on the throttle out of the corner. It also made the motor really smooth for race applications while having throttle response being exceptional.
Our last decision came down to the intake system. We designed a performance intake for our third prototype that increased reliability at the expense of 15 ft-lbs of torque and one HP at the crank over our 4th prototype. We decided that the race intake we designed would be plenty reliable for the length of the races these motors would likely see. We made sure to use high quality internals and materials so we knew the block wouldn’t be an issue. We decided to let the test track make the final determination. We dropped both prototype engines into a mule and sent it for a lap at the ATT and the Airfield Track. In the end the times came back in favor of the 4th prototype. Since hundredths of a second matter in racing, and those hundredths could be multiplied by suspension tuning differences, we decided that the Boss 385 V6SC motor had to be the one that gave us the best base-line track times and prototype 4 was the engine that made the final cut.
The Second Motor will be revealed after this short ad break.

Wellcome back to the V6SC Aftershow where we are just about to announce the second engine that will be used in the very first season of V6SC!!!
The second engine that has made it is…
The Brimstone MK2!!!
The plan was to send our guys to give the great news to and interview nialloftara but due to horrible weather conditions the plane fight was canceled and the internet was down here at the V6SC Headquaters in New Zealand so unfortunately we don’t have an interveiw with nialloftara but the new’s has been sent to his factory and they have started production of the Brimstone MK2.
Here we have some photo’s of what the engine’s basic stats are and what they look like:

Moving on to the final segment of this show,
When will we be acepting entry’s for chassis?
Let me think a sec ohh wait you can submit chassis Right NOW!!!
Send in thoose chassis asap.
Deadline: 8th November
All the best luck to thoose who wish to build chassis and here are the contact details if you would like to purchase one of these fine engine’s.
