Verna Automotive and VCV

In 1982, a young man with an ambition founded a company known as Verna Automotive. He wished to use this company to build somewhat affordable, small performance saloon cars.

The first prototype vehicle was unveiled at the 1985 Geneva Motor Show, simply called ‘Project H’. The compact FWD saloon garnered a fair amount of attention. Claimed power figure was roughly 200hp from a turbocharged inline-4.

In 1988, the full production vehicle was unveiled. The Project H concept had evolved into the Hytura Turbo, the company’s only model in their lineup.

In 2006, Verna had a change in management and decided to branch out into goods vehicles, forming a subsidiery known as VCV (Verna Commercial Vehicles).
