The Iconis is back for the eigth generation - sporting all-new sheetmetal, a heavily revised MTA2 evo platform, and a slate of new and heavily revised powertrains - so there’s something for everyone. On the exterior, the Iconis features a revised version of our “Balance” design language, with a focus on clean and focused lines, and elements of texture. Underpinning the new Iconis is our MTA2 evo platform - with a revised electrical architecture, updated suspension geometry for better stability at high speed and control under hard cornering, and increased rigidity. The MTA2 evo also allows us to increase the Iconis’s overall wheelbase to 2750mm, for best-in-class rear legroom.
The exterior of the Iconis can be had in 12 exterior colors and with 3 design packages, with the VallioreSport Prestige shown in the above image being finished in Ice Blue with the VallioreSport design package, which adds Onyx Black and Polished Aluminum exterior trim, and a more aggressive bodykit.
The new Iconis sports 5 available powertrains, and for the first time - all of the Iconis’s powertrains are electrified. Starting with our base powertrain, we have a 1.2L turbocharged inline-3 with a 48-volt integrated starter/generator, producing 140 horsepower and 132lb-ft, mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual clutch automatic. From there, there’s a 1.6L turbocharged inline-4, available as either a standard hybrid or as PHEV. The standard hybrid is mated to 1 or 2 electric motors depending on if FWD or AWD is selected, with the FWD 1.6T HEV making 225 horsepower and 236lb-ft of torque, or 240 horsepower and 265lb-ft of torque. The PHEV is available with AWD only on Iconis Cross models, and produces 270 horsepower and 295lb-ft of torque, and up to 37 miles of all-electric drive on a single charge. Regardless of drive wheels or power output, all 1.6T models come exclusively with a 7-speed dual clutch automatic. Rounding off the powertrains on standard Iconis models, there is a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 diesel also with a 48-volt integrated starter/generator, producing 190 horsepower and 295lb-ft of torque, only available on FWD models with a standard 7-speed dual clutch automatic.
Performance models aren’t neglected, with the Iconis coming in two performance trims - the GT, and the RS. Starting with the GT, it features a revised version of our 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 producing 330 horsepower and 310lb-ft of torque with a with a 48-volt integrated starter/generator, with power going to all four wheels via our advanced 4Drive all-wheel drive system, through a 7-speed dual clutch automatic. The GT dispatches 0 to 60 in 4.3 seconds, onto a top speed of 155 miles per hour. The RS, however, is a different beast - the most powerful Iconis ever, powered by a 2.5L turbocharged inline-5 making 410 horsepower and 407lb-ft of torque also with a 48-volt integrated starter/generator, through our most advanced AWD system with an active torque vectoring rear differential, through a strengthened 7-speed dual clutch automatic. This makes the Iconis RS the quickest Iconis ever - reaching 60 in just 3.3 seconds, onto a top speed of 186 miles per hour.
Inside the Iconis, drivers are greeted with a minimalist and tech-focused experience, with all Iconis models sporting a 10.25 inch digital gauge cluster and 10.25 inch center infotainment display standard, with upgraded models like the Prestige model shown here featuring a 12.3 inch digital gauge cluster, and a 15 inch center infotainment display running our all new VoltariConnect software, with over-the-air updates, wired and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Physical controls weren’t neglected, with hard toggles for many of the Iconis’s core functions maintained, like for the headlamps and media controls. The Iconis packs plenty of luxury too, with available heated, ventilated and massaging front seats with 14 way adjustability and 3-person memory, ambient lighting, tri-zone climate control, a powered rear window shade, an available 14-speaker Bang and Olufsen Surround Sound audio system, heated and power-adjustable steering wheel, power-adjustable pedals, an available interior atomizer, and a variable dimming electrochromic moonroof.
The Iconis can be had in 6 different interior shades, with the VallioreSport Prestige model being shown here in Atlas Grey and Fir Green semi-aniline Nappa leather, with quilted seat stitching, Ash Grey wood, and Polished Aluminum trim.
The new Iconis features our latest Voltari ActiveDrive ADAS suite, with a standard 360-degree camera system, front and rear ultrasonic parking sensors, adaptive cruise control with low speed follow and automatic resume, front and rear automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane drift alert with active lane recentering, lane departure warning, front and rear cross-traffic alert, real-time driver monitoring with automatic emergency stop and SOS functionality, traffic sign recognition, and more.
Higher trim Iconis models can be equipped with our ActiveDrive plus adaptive cruise control system, which enables Level 2 SAE driver autonomy, and is capable of accelerating, stopping and steering fully automatically - though it does require that the driver maintain grip of the steering wheel and stay looking forwards - if neither of those conditions are met, ActiveDrive plus will automatically disable itself, and if repeated requests for driver input are ignored or the driver is no longer looking forwards, ActiveDrive plus will automatically pull the Iconis off of the road safely, then contact emergency services.
Other exterior technologies include power folding and heated mirrors, flush door handles with electronic releases and safe exit assist, heated front and rear windshields, Smart Access with approach door unlock and walk-away door lock, rain-sensing windshield wipers, LED animations for door lock/unlock, and LED puddle lamps.
The new Iconis goes on sale at the end of 2026, starting at €28,000 for the base 1.2T Premium, up to €77,000 for the top of the line RS Prestige, though the VallioreSport Prestige primarily shown in this presentation starts at €41,100.
